didnt even get to see Rizzo AB cause WGNU was to busy with commercials
Not like Stewart and Valbuena much better
Stewart one of top 3B with errors. Valbuena showing why he not everday 3B DEF wise. Vitters offense has to make up for glove a bit i would have to imagine. Again il argue if team going to suck this bad let the kids learn at MLB level. Basically call it AAAA instead of AAA or MLB :smoke:

Dude how many times do I have to explain this Vitters is really, really bad at defense still. He doesn't hit for a ton of power and doesn't walk a lot. He is getting better in each of those categories, but right now at best we could hope he is decent average, low obp, low slugging terrible fielding 3B. He would get destroyed being here right now.
I know patience isn't your strongest suit, but calling people up just because you are tired of the current team doesn't make this go any quicker.
I understand Vitters wont be nothing special. But Dude how many times do i have to explain to you while the MLB team sucks this bad you play the kids since the guys they are playing do nothing to help the team now or in the future.
For various reasons you cannot just bench every single senior player to play "kids" that haven't actually earned it yet.
to me this is the time to put Campana in to run and let Reed hit for LaHair
I understand the Campana running for Soriano idea... but why Reed for LaHair? Reed Johnson is not a part of this team's future. LaHair might not be either, but he has a better chance than Johnson.

i guess our definition of earned is a bit different. Seems you guys want players to come up when they have 0 holes in there game. Guess what that dont happen. Sometimes you just have to let them learn in the MLB. Espicially when the MLB players are not getting the job done. Cubs have gotten nothing from 3B. So you try something else
Would it be too much to ask him to be able to competently field his position before calling him up?
But that is exactly the point D3A. If you give him time he might get better. THat might is a pretty big might, but it is possible that he could develop into an above average 3B if those 3 things (glove, power, and patience) keep improving. The odds of that happening at the major league level are a lot slimmer than in Iowa. Seriously look at the scrunity Castro and Rizzo take. You really think that is the best environment to develop young players.
Again I get that it would be more exciting to watch kids play than the Luis Valbuenas of the world, but that is not what is best long term for this franchise.
I think they realize how bad LaHair has been against LHP throughout pretty much his entire career (including minors) but they did allow him to bat here before Mather replaced him in RF.
Castro couldnt but he learning at MLB level
Again while MLB team is this bad you let guys learn at MLB level
