but tbh, everyone was bad in the playoffs....oduya was just that much more noticeable because he was on defense

I see where you're going here...and when the goalie is one of your worst players, it reflects poorly on everyone.

I think he's more of a bottom guy with wheels than a top 4.

Rather have Soupy back. What a train wreck this team is becoming.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but I'll give you that it's becoming more and more of a discussion point. Soupy (bleh defensively) plus the 2 or 3 minimum (by that I mean either lousy or inexperienced) to make up for his monster salary still more costly.

I can agree with that

I think this is what he was worth on the market, maybe a little under. I was personally hoping for right around 3mil.

Anyone freaking out over this just doesn't understand. This deal will be good if a couple of other things happen this summer. Oduya definitely helped this team out and made them better.

I would expect Hammer or Montador are gone/out in some form. Still need a SOB type dman in my opinion.

I'm fine with the signing but more has to be done, and hopefully will be.

I'm not gonna sit here and demand for Bowman's head on May 29 when FA and trades are so far away.

Initially, it strikes me as overpaying for a player. But if this leads to other, better moves, I can live with it.

That's what we thought about Campbell though last year.

Bowman didnt spend that money wisely IMO

it is Bowman's track record that makes fans nervous but I won't judge fully until Opening night

That's a good point. What happens when most GMs give him the :angryfinger: when he approaches them with a preliminary trade discussion? Is he going to continue to whine he has no dancing partner?

3.375 per year for Johnny fucking Oduya is nothing good about it.

It's an awful contract.

I think that is his worth on the market pretty easily. I think everyone will see that once July 1 hits.

You just have no idea how to value a player's worth or apparently how to tell how good a player is beyond points. There is no eye test with you.

As many have pointed out signing Oduya makes it a lot easier to move Hammer. This move gives the team some options on how to handle this offseason. Now whether that is used effectively or not this offseason is the real question. Nothing that has happened so far this offseason really tells us one way or other yet.

Maybe Hjammer isn't moved if Monty's brain is scrambled eggs as Melt mentioned.
