He has a plan, it's called pissing away money & giving away Soupy for nothing.

Overpaid Crawf, Frolik & Oduya like it was candy. Bring back a sieve like Emery when guys like Harding are out there.

I'm diassapointed mainly because they were hyping it like he took a good sized pay cut. Not 200k. Maybe Hammer will be moved for a center now

yeah agreed.

3 years of a player who really isnt that great. good rental player sure, but locking him up was stupid. Really hope hammer is moved now. If they dont add another Dman that is actually solid, and dont get a goalie, we are in trouble next year.

Honest question, who would you guys rather have Hammer or Oduya?

ticket prices have nothing to do with it...there is still the salary cap the hawks have to maneuver within...they cant raise prices to sign people. salary cap is salary cap

not really if you sign a bunch of players that are "ehh" instead of a handful that are really good. Its called false depth, and that is what bowman did last offseason, hope this isnt a trend.

I think this is what he was worth on the market, maybe a little under. I was personally hoping for right around 3mil.

Anyone freaking out over this just doesn't understand. This deal will be good if a couple of other things happen this summer. Oduya definitely helped this team out and made them better.

I would expect Hammer or Montador are gone/out in some form. Still need a SOB type dman in my opinion.

I'm fine with the signing but more has to be done, and hopefully will be.

B1)no way, are you serious?

B2) are you really fine with the signing? I feel so much better now about the signing know that you are ok with it.

Hammer all day long. 6 years younger

Hammer: 0.1 OPS and 3.0 DPS a typical defensive defenseman

Oduya: 0.4 OPS and 2.4 DPS

If we arent going to get a goalie Id much rather have hammer. Oduya is not very good and is on the wrong side of his career as hammer the ceiling is much higher.

With that said I am not a hammer fan, but if I had to choose one I would choose hammer.

my dad called it the minute he was hired.

I think a lot of the knowledgeable fans and fans that understand business and bottom lines called it. The writing was on the wall the minute he was hired.

My bad...clearly I shouldn't have given my opinion of the signing if there was any chance that you might disagree with it or attempt to mock it. Must be off topic or something.

Past those numbers, Hammer can get physical and doesn't shy away from contact.

Now that I think about it, i'm not as disappointed that we no longer have season tix then I was at first.
