I think that is his worth on the market pretty easily. I think everyone will see that once July 1 hits.

You just have no idea how to value a player's worth or apparently how to tell how good a player is beyond points. There is no eye test with you.

Sadly, the eye test just doesn't exist on the internet.

The internet is for numbers and twisting said numbers so they stroke your dick.

eye tests by certain types of fans mean nothing. unbias fans vs bias fans. in other words homers and meatballs have little to zero eye test points in any evaluation in any sport. homers wear beer goggles while doing the "eye test".

I think that gif needs a bit of change. Maybe McD driving with Q and Stan in the backseat. Not only is McD trying to drive, but also he is reaching back in the backseat between Q and Stan (in kids' bodies) to keep them from fighting with each other. Ya know, like the way ma or paw used to keep siblings separated and civil while in the car?

Well, I didn't make it.

looking forward to many "Oduya turns it over & the opposing team scores".

Yes, because as a Blackhawks fan, I am sure that is what everyone is thinking...

They probably aren't thinking, "Hey, I hope this guys plays steady, helps solidify the defense, takes the load off the top 2 guys, etc".

Ahh but who can fairly claim who is a "homer" or a "meatball" and who just has irrational hatred for a person?

Not directing this at anyone in particular. But the whole "eye test" argument is just going to lead to 20 pages of shitty posts.

No "eye test" will ever be the same.

All I'm gonna say about this is that I'm okay with it if Hammer is moved for Staal.

Then when Hammer's cap hit is gone, the Hawks can make a move for a defenseman.

(Not necessarily Suter, but someone of almost that caliber)

If Hammer (plus more) is moved for Staal then there wouldn't be cap space for a player like Suter, and there is no one else that is close to his caliber that is going to make sense for the Blackhawks or even out there this offseason.

I never really thought that Suter had a chance to go the Hawks anyway.

I'd still like to see Hammer and maybe Frolik go to the Pens for Staal.

As for defense, it's obviously an issue. I have no idea who they could sign, but there needs to be something other than what the Hawks have right now.

They could use #4.

But they're currently stuck with 2 bad d-man contracts. Martin for 5 years at $5mil per and Michalek for the same term at $4mil.

I've heard that they want him. And if they want him, I'm all for giving up Hammer and a forward for Staal.

My point was that they're a bit handcuffed with their own d-men contracts.

They're gonna need to find a backup goalie too.

It could be worse, guys.

The Caps will be paying Roman Hamrlik $3.5 next year.
Robyn Regehr will be a $4m hit, Jordan Leopold a $3m hit.
Anton Babchuk is at $2.5m
Derick Morris… $2.75m and Rostislav Klesla $2.9m.
Trevor Daley is a $3.3m hit.
Keith Ballard is costing the Canucks $4.2m.

True. But that's why I said that I've heard they want him. A little weird that I've heard that considering the d-men contracts you mentioned. I don't know what to believe now.

All I know is that I really want Staal.

I'd take Klesla.

he is awesome

again either you dont follow hockey or you are a troll.

your boy Klesla is impressive haha.

he has been in the league since 2000

so from 2000-2012 he has a total of 45 goals/ 102 assists
OPS 0.3 and a DPS of 3.8. the DPS is the 2nd highest in his whole career with a bunch of yuck DPS scores.

pass.

but eye testz and stuffz

From what I've read, the 2nd best FA D-man this summer will be Matt Carle.

I love how you go to OPS, DPS, and DP for everything.

As if that is the end all be all. Honestly, it is a really weak argument. A WHOLE LOT more goes into a player and their play than those weak stats.

right, eye ball test. I got it.

or the fact that he is a bad player.

Its ok that you dont understand OPS and DPS and solely rely on "hits, fire and passion, heart, or any of your other stupid thoughts etc etc"

its fucking klesla you (swear word)

Yea, because it is really, really hard to understand OPS and DPS. Are you even kidding me?

You always attempt to go there in an argument because you have nothing that will hold validity to say.

I understand it just fine, pretty easy to understand and I'm sure there are plenty of websites out there to explain it if I didn't. The internet, makes things pretty easy to understand if you need it.
