Take a song like "and I love her".* Beautiful and soulful. A song people will be playing 300 years from now
would it be a good song for a dubstep remix?

When did I ever say that best song write = best musician? McCartney has written some of the most soulful songs ever. He also happens to be one of the greatest bass players and a fine lead guitarist and fine drummer

A product implies he was someone's invention. He wasnt an invention. He is arguably the most important person in rock historyI just disagree. McCartney was a product.

He had serious motivation issues. Maureen Cleave from the London Standard Journal wrote: "He can sleep almost indefinitely, is probably the laziest person in England. That was before his heroin problems. In the 70s he became a house husband/recluse. He would have surely given up any consistent song writing as he was pretty much disconnected and bored by the time he was killed. Also, given their on again/off again relationship with Yoko he would have surely gone into one of his famous depressions over their frequent break upsthe beatles likely were. paul mccartney, not so much. if lennon hadn't died, you wouldn't be talking about paul mccartney today, because lennon would have negated the historical fart that was wings and you would be talking about lennon verticals.
I think both Lennon and McCartney were genius. George too. I just also think they were co-opted. Give me Rolling Stones any day. They benefitted from the commodifiaction of the Beatles. no, cause you attempt to criticize art without appreciating context. Its like popping in citizen cane right now and being like, what the **** is the big deal? Not even color. This sucks.
There is a recent documentary of Iron Maiden's latest? tour (South America I think) and man, Bruce Dickinson sounds amazing still.
My mom loves the Beatles. Bought her some vinyls recently of them.
My real momSheHateMe must've been very happy.
You've obviously only heard them on late night infomercials.

I think what you don't get is that the best songwriter isn't always the best musician.
To Ryan: As a guitarist growing up, everyone told me to study Alex Lifesson. I found David Byrne/jerry richardson, jimmy Page, Johnny Marr, Joey Santiago and even Keith Rivhards's playing to have more soul and fun to play over technical prowess.
no..Didn't you say something similar about Clapton a while back?

I like Citizen Kane. I also like The Beatles, but I think they're overrated. Except for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "A Day In The Life." Those songs are fucking awesome.
