Leftwich and Hackett just scream Adam Gase to me

Guys who worked with one of the 3 best QBs in the league and we're going to succeed no matter what

Leftwich also coached them to a top 3 offense in 2019 with Jameis at the helm. If he wasn't throwing picks like Bad Rex all season they could have really made some noise in the playoffs.

Vic Fangio anyone? I haven't seen his name on any teams list tho, so he's probably looking at a Coordinator gig
I heard somewhere that he has a couple years on his contract left? So he may just spend the year on a beach somewhere gettin paid still.

There's really no one so far I'd go "this guy is just completely not qualified".

Yeah, Leslie Frazier isn't super exciting. But it might work. ?‍♂️

Anyone you'd just lose your shit over?

Here's the current list: (in random order)

1) L. Frazier 2) D. Peterson 3) B. Daboll 4) N. Hackett 5) Todd Bowles 6) Byron Leftwich 7) Matt Eberflus 8) Dan Quinn 9) Brian Flores
I would prefer it not be a DC, but not dead set against it.

Absolute NO to Frazier. Not terribly excited about Daboll or Quinn.

Liking the idea of Leftwich more than before, but I think he goes to Jax.

Flores sounded like a good possibility and I am starting to worry more and more about him and would prefer they just steer clear. Which is odd because many consider him one of the better candidates.

Bottom line - all over the board right now.

Just give me a guy who will run the team as a HC not a coordinator, which is not as sure a thing as it seems it should be.

Well deserved. He's underrated. I think he got a raw deal in Denver. No Qb and every season they dealt with an insane amount of injuries.

I would like to echo what @Anytime23 said about Daboll too. I was high on him at one point, but after looking at his track record and his only real success in Buffalo (with Josh Allen) I'm less convinced he'd be the best hire.

Fuck Dabol. I don’t want another motherfucker who doesn’t run the ball. Aw hell the fuck no.

And double fuck all the way up, balls deep with a fucking cactus, Doug fucking Peterson. Motherfucker can stay fishing on his boat. I don’t ever want to see anybody else run the Reid system that isn’t Andy fucking Reid. Yeah, dude won a Super Bowl. Cool. Now I mean what I say: fuck him.

I think they definitely need to interview Roman. I like him more than daboll and as far as offensive guys, he’s probably my choice.

Very interested in Flores. Flores/Roman would be my top 2.

Lukewarm on Daboll and Pedo

Big no thanks to everyone else on the list.

The Bills are 6th in the league in rushing this year.

Its why i like Roman so much. Maybe his offense doesn't have the passing ceiling as some of these other guys but multiple stops of success in scoring points. I dont like these DC retreads. I dont like guys like Hackett and leftwich who work under someone elses offense with great QBs at the helm. Ditto to Bienemy.

That guy is old. If i were him id double dip and get another gig. Vikings would be a good fit. Cousins isn't elite by any means but he's a QB that can put up numbers and win some games.

Roman may grow on me. I am afraid of a guy who runs too much these days, but he scores. And that's what matters.

Leslie Frazier would make me want to kill myself twice.

Virtually any of the DC's or STC's on the list have no business interviewing for the HC job of the Chicago Bears. You just can't risk the development of Justin Fields by throwing him into an unstable pattern of hiring/firing/replacing offensive coordinators every year. That would be a recipe for disaster.

Imagine scoring points instead of 3 4th and 1 passes that end up a pick 6 and 2 sacks.

It shouldn't disqualify them, but yeah after Nagy, it'd be a tough pill to swallow. Hackett would suck. Leftwich, I think has some potential because he did have some success with Jameis. But again, how much influence does Arians have? He'd be a high risk/high reward guy and I don't think the Bears should go that route after the Nagy disaster.

Yeah, it's actualy OK to just do what works and not try to figure out what play can make you look like a genius. It goes back to when Mike Martz coached. He realy WAS a guru, but in St. Louis a s HC and again in Chicago as OC, he could never just do the simple thing when it was the right thing to do. It was all about looking like a wizard.

Sometimes the play call is straightforward.

Scoring is good. :)
