Davis has more time as a RG and Jenkins was already moving between left and right when he was at tackle. It also makes more sense as it balances the line from the perspective that you have a really good mover in Jones paired with a power guy in Jenkins on the left side while having a really good mover in Davis paired with more of a power guy in Wright. It also ensures Wright is paired with a more experienced guy next to him.
And it makes sure Jones has a better pass blocker next to him which he struggled with last year. There was several times Jenkins decleated guys the rt was blocking. That kind of presence could help jones.

Just to argue, I guess. Poles wanted a big WR that could fight for balls and block that we also needed and got one. Unless there's a better one drafted later, he's justified in the move regardless of whatever else was available and whether you agree or not. Only 1 edge player went before Mingo in 2 and so would have Claypool in this weak top WR draft. Bigger, faster, stronger, higher graded.

The trade should only be judged on whether Claypool is resigned.
Who says he's justified in the move regardless of whatever else was available? You?

The trade should be judged on what kind of player he ends up being for us and then we can decide on our own if it was worth what we gave up to get him.

Team 1 for fantasy. Passing TDs are usually 4 points in most leagues and passing yards 0.25. Thus Fields rushing ability means he will have the edge giving his rushing yards and rushing TDs are 0.1 and 6 points respectively. McCaffery is better than Jacobs giving he is a dual threat and stands to have more combined yards. Adams and Diggs is probably a wash.

I can’t believe that they brought Davis in and then asked Jenkins to move to another position as if Davis is better than him, he’s not!

Davis is pretty weak in pass pro.
According to PFF Davis had a very solid 2022 season, 69.8 run blocking grade, 66.8 pass blocking grade for an overall 70.6 grade. Davis gave up 3 sacks, 4 penalties, and 14 total pressures in 2022. A very solid free agent signing for the Bears.

Not always practical. Family, friends, jobs, being stuck in a mortgage among many other scenarios can prevent one from moving.

He lives 20 minutes from 4 different Countries. He lives where he wants to live and bitches about it.

It's frustrating hearing how much salary cap we we're gonna be sitting on this year then we barely do anything with it. I get playing it smart and picking and choosing but 1 or 2 players on 1 year deal gambles would have been worth it. Hell I'd be willing to offer a 3rd and see if commanders would take it It's a risk but so is going into the season with no pass rush.

I think they’re going bananas next year . It’s the smart thing to do as much as it sucks to sit on a bunch of cap space , he’s doing it right.

Any unused cap can be rolled into next year so no reason to spend unless you are 100% sold on a guy.

We need to be somewhat competitive this year and make the playoffs because if not I feel like it's hard to get top free agents to want to play here. There will be some after only money but good players want a chance at a superbowl, I get the plan it's just frustrating lol.

Meh, aging vets chase rings, guys getting their 1st non rookie contract chase money. Poles likely signs a stop gap edge rusher before the season, and there are extensions before and during the season I think that will likely get done.

Very true. Also, so many bad years in a row is hardly good for team morale.

Good reasons, I just hope Jenkins was cool with this and that we haven’t heard that he was pissed is a good sign.

I do however believe that all the hype about Davis has been a bit much as I don’t think he’s as good as all the shit I’ve read the past couple of months.

I hope I’m wrong.
Meh is a huge improvement to out previous 4th or 5th best lineman.

You complain about getting picked on but are constantly a dick. Correlation?

The resigning will determine that. He'll want a good payday which means he's earned it if still here. You argue just to argue and state the obvious when by extension it's unquestionably been covered. The parameter is an easy one to justify.
