I'm not 100% sure, but I would think one of the 'rules' is ...one can not vote for their own teammates. It was that way when only players voted for All-Star games.

It never shocks me how inept some of these NFL GM's are. San Fran clung to jimmy g for a half decade while he cost them multiple superbowls, now the raiders decided he's a better option than derek carr?
