One thing is for sure, you will need plenty of support, as your destined for great disappointment.
Much like Lions fans, I’m used to disappointment. Who the hell needs support for how a football team performs, anyway? It’s an entertainment league, dude. Not that serious

Fields was not that dude as a passer. Mainly because the OL couldn’t pass block and the WR corp was not up to snuff. He also has areas he needs to improve in. If Poles fixes the OL and to a lesser extent, the WR corp, the passing game should be firing with Fields.

Poles needs to fix the defense as well, but all of this is doable with the resources. It’s not as big of a jump as people make it seem. Bears completely debacled games they could have won and the in season trades of quan and Quinn obviously signaled the bears weren’t trying to win. That’ll be different next year. At the end of the day, if you have a franchise QB, you should be in the playoffs
It's a pretty damn big jump. I'm around 6-7 wins next year and no playoffs.

You arrived to this conclusion before the off-season even started? Without even knowing what the roster looks like?

To me, it’s simple. Is fields that dude? If yes, give him an OL that can consistently keep him clean and add actual NFL talent to the defense and this team is going to take off. Poles has plenty of resources to do both. Now he just has to do his job. Assuming he does his job and Fields is the guy, Bears *should* be a playoff team.

You will be lucky to finish third in the division, The only thing that is guaranteed is the Bears will more than likely overpay for some marginal FA upgrades. You act like the Bears are the only team in the NFL with Cap money? Might get 1-2 impactful starters in the draft, with the rest possibly developing in to quality starters late season or next year. The further the Bears trade down for more draft capital, the less of an immediate impact the players they do draft will have.

Never said or acted like anything about other teams. I simply said the Bears have more than enough resources to fix their issues, which they do. Any GM worth their salt should be able to land talent in the 1st round. Not concerned at all about trading down. It’s all about acquiring more assets and throws at the dartboard. Hopefully, a 24 1st is part of it

You don't find Lamborghini's at Leo's discount used auto sales. Doesn't matter how much cash you have.

it certainly wont be easy but there are also a lot of unknowns that need to get worked out...does rodgers stay and if so has he truly regressed? they're over the cap and have key guys that are free agents, tonyan, crosby, amos etc...
If rodgers is traded how is love going to do? i'd say they dont pose much of a threat...Given their situation trading rodgers is prob their best course of action, they can get some picks to rebuild that aging roster.
The vikes should still be good but big question marks as they are also over the cap and will have some tough cuts to make and still have no resolution on the qb spot...do they extend kirk(1-5 in playoffs)? jefferson, hokenson are extension eligible but whos the qb?

as for the NFC, i expect the giants to come back to earth after they overachieved like they did, bucs are done and i think seattle will regress as well...cards are a joke, rams will be lucky to keep stafford upright and dallas is always a wildcard especially with dak. i think the bears will compete for a playoff spot but ultimately will come up a game or two short for a wildcard spot.

So you think this team can b built in one offseason? I've always had my mind set on at least two and am still there.

I don't think $93 mil will go as far as many think it will especially after re-signing some guys like Kmet, JJ, Mooney and maybe some others like Monty and others. When you bring in as many new guys as we'll have next year it takes time for the team to gel. we have a shit ton of question marks with this team right now.

My 6-7 wins and no playoffs isn't a conclusion but more of an assumption.

I hear you but am thinking more around 8-9 wins. Granted you don't know how teams will look starting the season but in looking at their schedule for next year there are a number of games outside the North we should win.

The Vikes just got Flores as DC and they can still kick the can down the road a few more years. 1st place
Lions, will be hot on the Vikes heals 2nd place
GB, it all depends on Rodgers, if he stays, 3rd place, if he leaves, last place
Bears, competitive, could surprise, but should focus on building a contender for 2024
