Never said or acted like anything about other teams. I simply said the Bears have more than enough resources to fix their issues, which they do. Any GM worth their salt should be able to land talent in the 1st round. Not concerned at all about trading down. It’s all about acquiring more assets and throws at the dartboard. Hopefully, a 24 1st is part of it
I've said that the Bears will be playing meaningful games up to the last game or two, much like how the Lions did this year. I don't know about playoffs, but I think they'll be in the hunt. That's all you can ask for at this point, with perhaps playoffs being a slam dunk if all the balls bounce the right way (free agent and draft hits abound, Claypool looking like a beast, Fields showing a more complete passing game, etc).

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
The Vikes just got Flores as DC and they can still kick the can down the road a few more years. 1st place
Lions, will be hot on the Vikes heals 2nd place
GB, it all depends on Rodgers, if he stays, 3rd place, if he leaves, last place
Bears, competitive, could surprise, but should focus on building a contender for 2024

Flores means jack shit when their main defensive players are washed and/or old and they have no cap space to fix it quickly. They've already kicked the can down the road previously.

All while still having to sign J Jefferson to a major extension and he;s probably going to want 30m a year

Doesn't even take into account that Kwesi had an absolutely horrible draft for the Vikings

You said it yourself “hurt, suspended, or bad” lol

And I wouldn’t call Care a franchise QB. He’s on the cusp, but no. Not that dude. He’s a tier below. The bar is not unfair. Teams with a franchise QB should be making the playoffs.
There are 14 teams that make the playoffs, there are more than 14 franchise QBs. So yes, it's unfair. 7 teams make it in the NFC. Franchise QBs in the NFC are: Dak, Hurts, Rodgers, Cousins (like him or not), Stafford, Murray, was Brady, and then you have Fields and whatever you consider Goff and guys like Daniel Jones and Geno Smith. And that doesn't even count the 49ers who, everyone Shanahan touches becomes a franchise QB.

So even if you don't count Goff or Jones, and you take away Brady from the NFC, you still have 6 other franchise QBs and the Niners. So, 1 of those teams are going to miss the playoffs every year.

The Vikings feel like they could be like the 2018 Bears in that they have a great first year under a new head coach but aren't as good as their record would suggest. They could easily be a ~.500 team next year. They're also over $20 million over the cap.

Yeah, him saying that means nothing to me. Him and Olave got paid, they are trying to get their boy paid as well. And I love JSN as much as anyone, but there's 0 chance he's as good as Olave and Wilson. Wilson put up 1100 yards with 4 different guys playing QB, and 13 of those games were started by Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco and Chris Strevler. Olave cracked 1000 and he missed 2 games, but he had better per game numbers across the board than Wilson with Andy Dalton throwing to him for 14 games.

JSN doesn't have the natural ability those guys have and definitely won't make the year 1 impact those guys did.

You don't have, nor have ever been in a position to even window shop for a Lamborghini, so like most things that you say, this sentence doesn't work.
True, nor have I ever shopped for a silicone GF.

Yes, because you are so good at guessing what the Bears record will be........
How many wins did you say the Bears would have this year?
I distinctly remember you saying that there is no way the Bears would finish last.
Sorry, not much cred.

I told ppl it was dumb not to bring him back. And I got the usually shit - he sux, to expensive, yadda yadda. Shoukd have cut Whitehair and re-signed Daniels

No we shouldnt have. Cutting Whitehair would have cost money not saved money so what would be the point? If you wanted to sign Daniels then just sign him but your cap hit on Whitehair would be the same regardless.

As for Daniels, He gave up 40 pressures and 3 sacks last year. Musty gave up 20 pressures and 2 sacks and people want him replaced. So objectively speaking he was much worse last year than Musty was this year so it was more than fair we moved on particularly when one of the main reasons is Poles felt Daniels is soft. He does not have the mean streak and attitude Poles wants.

So good for him that this year he gave up 20 pressures and 0 sacks but that is still the same amount of pressures as Musty and that doesn't account for the fact Pickett gets rid of the ball almost a half second faster than Fields and Trubisky almost 3/4s of a second faster. So yeah still serious doubts Daniel would work here. His pressures and sacks likely go up because Fields holds the ball longer than Pickett and Trubisky.

It is quite lazy analysis to just lift Daniels stats in a completely different scheme with completely different QBs and act like he would have excelled here.

P.S. To add to that his run blocking sucked and was worse than every single interior player that had significant minutes for the Bears ie Jenkins, Musty, Patrick, Whitehair and Schoefield.

Well then, at least mine is edible.
So now you're admitting you're a disgruntled diabetic type 2 Bears fan who was bullied in to becoming a Detroit fan who has now been bullied in to becoming a cannibal? They should have a documentary crew follow you around. The royalties from TLC should cover Uber eats and then you won't have to larp as a NFC North beat writer anymore
