It’s called kicking the can down the road

Sure there are drawbacks, but if you want to win you have to spend money. They not only signed a ton of players last off season but have already re-signed RRH, are looking to now resign the players that did well last year including key and engram, maybe their RT as well?

You don't go from several years of last place to 1st place and the playoffs by sitting around. There were legitimately people on here saying 'lets compare how these WR's do to the teams that did nothing!'

Do you have your panties in a wad because you were 1 of those morons?

So because I mentioned it’s called kicking the can down the road, I’m now someone who has their panties in a wad and is a moron??

It's so weird because I was told by many bright individuals on this board that the jaguars really fcked themselves and made terrible off season moves last year.
We don’t know yet if they fucked themselves over with the moves or not. They cleared up some cap room but still towards the bottom of the nfl. They are still a mediocre team at best. They played in the worst division in the league and still barely made it into the playoffs.

I think probably the Colts. Raiders have the high end talent to be much better if McDaniels can figure out how to coach. Falcons are in a bad division and may a decent amount of games. Panthers in same division, but they are a team that potentially could be a QB away from being pretty good. Titans are very well coached and won't be that bad, maybe ever.

I like Cooks a lot, but I'd much rather have draft picks than him. Texans really missed out by not trading him last year, had much more value and they clearly weren't going anywhere.
I’m not sure it’s the Colts. The AFC South is awful and outside of Jacksonville, the entire division is trending downwards.

I feel the same way about the Panthers, who have a ton of young talent on their roster. The Bucs and Saints are trending downwards and the Saints are being advised by Ryan Pace.

I agree - the Texans should have traded Brandon Cooks last year when he had much more value. He seems like a great buy low opportunity for the Bears with a minimal commitment.

They got panned across the media I believe and it worked well for them. Just another example of why you need to wait before you grade drafts and offseason moves.

I definitely could be wrong but I think the media thought very favorably of the moves, maybe less about specific contracts but more in general about what they did.

They supported 2nd year QB Lawrence with multiple weapons, hired doug pederson. It was mostly the fragile minded ones on here refusing to believe this bears team would be bad even though they didn't do much of anything to add to the OL or WR's.

COACHING NEWS
  • Sean Desai, Seahawks associate head coach, is doing a second interview for the Eagles' defensive coordinator opening, per NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
Eagles fans are going to hate his passive aggressive defensive game plans especially with all of the talent they are losing on defense
