That would be uninspiring.
D'Onta Foreman is a really good running back. But he's very similar to Khalil Herbert. Good, one-cut guy who doesn't waste time dancing and gets north and south in a hurry. But like Herbert, he cannot catch the ball or pass block. I'm a big fan of the player, but it'd be a huge waste of time and money.

Center and RT are obvious needs. I know Leatherwood was exposed at RT but I wonder if he could pull it together and replace Whitehair at LG? It’s crazy that a guy that was as productive as he was in the SEC could struggle this much in the NFL. He has talent and a good athletic profile. His confidence must be shattered.

Carter is a backup guard too that had a season to work, get stronger and adapt to the NFL game. I wonder how good he might be?
Sure would be a huge help for the Bears if we could cut Whitehair and simply place Leatherwood at LG and feel good about it but he really looked out of place.

Who's not questioning those things?

Wait for Poles to wrap up free agency and the draft before saying they go unquestioned, because its Poles who makes those decisions - not uneducated hack reporters.

For me, I DO want someone to compete with Whitehair, I DO want someone else at left tackle, and I FOR SURE DO want a better center.

Jenkins only gets a reprieve because replacing all 5 on a line is hard and he was still the best lineman by FAR out there, even with the injury history.

There's a lot for Poles to do, and we're only at the very very beginning of the build up phase....
As far as performance goes last year, Jones was the second best behind Jenkins but played every single snap, so in a way, he's the one you have to worry about the least. The position to address on the line are, pretty much in order, C, RT then LG. Edit to add: I'm all for Poles looking for another Braxton Jones in the later round and adding the guy in groom as a swing tackle, and if he eventually challenges a starter for a spot or makes a big money FA acquisition expendable in a year or two then great.

I mean, they DO have a beyond DJ Moore level WR, lol. But I doubt they're trading him.
Adams is 4.5 yrs older than Moore. Doubt Poles was looking for an aging soon to be declining WR whose salary becomes $35M in 2 seasons in the trade deal

He would be a huge downgrade in position of need, pass blocking and catching RB.

Give Jones an offseason of an NFL weight program and he should be fine at LT.

His feet were great, he just got bullrushed by power rushers pretty regularly. Worst case scenario he can be a solid Right Tackle.

He missed a bunch of 2021 with a torn quad, but other than that he only missed 4 games in 2019. He's played every other game, so he's missed 13 of a possible 82 games, not including playoffs where he missed in 2021. Even still, you're still talking 16 of 91 games missed, 12 of them in 1 season. Torn quad is a bad injury, especially for linemen, but he came back from it just fine. But that's not anything close to what I would call "lengthy injury history".
Makes me feel a little bit better about him. Some made it sound like he gets injured every year.

If the Bears don't sign every free agent by 1230 today this place will be worse than the run on the banks going on right now.

I have a major meeting today right when the tampering period begins, because this meeting organizer dude is a damn lunatic with no morals. Won’t be able to post updates here, but you guys are in good hand with @BaBaBlacksheep and @bears26
B26 already has a free agency thread up. You deserve a break anyway. Enjoy your dark retreat. LOL
