Well duhhhhh lol. They don't have any cap space after that signing let alone anywhere near enough for what Brown is seeking
But he tried to for Larry anyway. I'm just openly wondering. I prefer free agency to be used for filling holes, not for signing frachise cornerstones for big money. Seems Poles is aligned to that, but it would also be hard to believe he wasn't in on McGlinchey and isn't still working on Dre'Mont Jones and a few others.I assumed him saying that last season was that he didn't want to give out big money deals last season.
Paris Johnson Jr. At #9 come on down!
Laremy Tunsil almost certianly breaks Ronnie Staley's record for left tackle guaranteed money. Can they afford sixty million guaranteed to Jawaan Taylor and eighty-ish million guaranteed to Laremy Tunsil? I genuinely don't know. Its honestly a good investment but they will struggle to keep their defense good enough to win titles unless they hit home runs in the draft.KC has extra picks this year because of the minority hires. They could trade for both Cooks & Tunsil. They could use both
Agreed it makes no sense Brax will be a steady pro bowler for years.I just don't get the "we need someone to compete with Braxton Jones" narrative, yet somehow Whitehair and his bloated contract and Teven Jenkins and his injury history go largely unquestioned. Brax played a whole lot better than anyone could have ever hoped for going into the season, playing every fucking snap and being good at just about everything except for handling the bullrush. He's got a full offseason to work on that one thing to be a largely complete and good player yet so many people are like "the O line sucks so we need to replace everyone!"
Please please please!!!Dre'Mont, come on down.
Nothing wrong with that.Paris Johnson Jr. At #9 come on down!
And you know this based on the fact he didn't make big signings in a tank year with no $?This is Poles MO,he is basically a cheap **** that's ok with signing leftovers..
They said similar earlier on NFLN. Teams added wins, but not playoff wins.I don't see any long term improvement from those as a result of the FA's and no super bowls in sight.
Well he made just enough signings to qualified free agents that it cost the Bears three draft picks this year, so don't underestimate his idiocy. And you know this based on the fact he didn't make big signings in a tank year with no $?
Here I go acting like @Gustavus Adolphus now?. It’s been an off month for me. Let’s pretend this never happened.i was being sarcastic
Definitely prevents us from getting an impact player on Defense or at WR. High price to pay.Nothing wrong with that.
Alternate Though: This is Poles MO, he doesn't want to spend haphazardly in Free Agency because he truly does want to build through the draft. This is Poles MO,he is basically a cheap **** that's ok with signing leftovers..
Actually if you look at the teams, it was actually the opposite. While those teams may have improved the next year, none of them had sustained success, just short term.I don't see any long term improvement from those as a result of the FA's and no super bowls in sight.
Lol exactly. People whining about overpaying, do we forget this team finished dead last in the NFL last year?Poles has to spend some of the money. He waited till the 3rd and 4th waive of FA last season and look at the trash he signed.

Been saying it forever. He will definitely be in play.Paris Johnson Jr. At #9 come on down!
