So all the hype has gone to Orlando Brown Jr being the top FA T, and the Chiefs, who know him best, upgraded at the position in FA. Smart.
lol whoever orlando brown jr's agent is needs to be fired...passed up on a huge deal last year and is now out of KC most likely with the taylor signing
He prefers undrafted free agents. This is Poles MO,he is basically a cheap **** that's ok with signing leftovers..
He was intent on reaching the open market and its clear Kansas City wants some longer-term answers at tackle. The Chiefs are not so flush that they can just let Orlando Brown Jr. soak up the franchise tag amount while they go shopping elsewhere. A decision had to be made.Just don't like that he has negotiated his way out of 2 NFL teams so quickly, but yes that is also another top choice...Still, I don't have any confidence Poles makes the move.
Never occurred you to that he never intended to fix anything last year but you be you.Lol exactly. People whining about overpaying, do we forget this team finished dead last in the NFL last year?
His strategy to fix the team last year led to huge signings of Lucas Patrick, Riley reif, Ramon watts, ESB, Dante Pettis.
Fckn nailedit
It’s showing our hand a little muchParis Johnson Jr. At #9 come on down!
I, too, would be OK with that. But I hoped for a T in FA so they could draft DT or DE first. And IOL in the late 2nd. And if Paris is gone, maybe the Oklahoma T. Please NOT Skoronski.Paris Johnson Jr. At #9 come on down!
It's crazy Leatherwood won the outland as "best" OL in the country, Carter may sursprise a lot of people as well.Center and RT are obvious needs. I know Leatherwood was exposed at RT but I wonder if he could pull it together and replace Whitehair at LG? It’s crazy that a guy that was as productive as he was in the SEC could struggle this much in the NFL. He has talent and a good athletic profile. His confidence must be shattered.
Carter is a backup guard too that had a season to work, get stronger and adapt to the NFL game. I wonder how good he might be?
Ask any Baltimore fan about that. Ronnie was finally healthy again this year and gave up 1 sack and 1 penalty. He was intent on reaching the open market and its clear Kansas City wants some longer-term answers at tackle. The Chiefs are not so flush that they can just let Orlando Brown Jr. soak up the franchise tag amount while they go shopping elsewhere. A decision had to be made.
Baltimore regrets trading him. Ronnie Stanley was the wrong choice.
The Chiefs are not a stupid team and they just gave Jawaan Taylor sixty million guaranteed. This is not overpaying, this is just what it costs now. If Ryan Poles really is going to sit this out and wait for second or third wave leftovers there's a huge problem at GM.Poles told you he’s not going to overpay and build thru the draft how many times?
You guys just refused to listen or believe him and expected the bears to be contending for a playoff spot this year. I tried tellin y’all.
Borom lost his job mid season and probably wouldn’t have even had a job if Reif’s contract was structured differently.
The names are disappearing! POLES IS FUCKING ASLEEP!Uh oh what?
He's so banged up and injured though. Do you have any faith in his health long-term?Ask any Baltimore fan about that. Ronnie was finally healthy again this year and gave up 1 sack and 1 penalty.
Ravens fans and their front office know they did not make the wrong choice but please keep making shit up. We clear on that?
I'm sure a part of this move came down to cost mitigation. So all the hype has gone to Orlando Brown Jr being the top FA T, and the Chiefs, who know him best, upgraded at the position in FA. Smart.
People are mentioning it because his pass blocking left something to be desired. He was pushed back a lot in true passing sets. Is LT not the most important piece on an O-line?I just don't get the "we need someone to compete with Braxton Jones" narrative, yet somehow Whitehair and his bloated contract and Teven Jenkins and his injury history go largely unquestioned. Brax played a whole lot better than anyone could have ever hoped for going into the season, playing every fucking snap and being good at just about everything except for handling the bullrush. He's got a full offseason to work on that one thing to be a largely complete and good player yet so many people are like "the O line sucks so we need to replace everyone!"
YesHe's so banged up and injured though. Do you have any faith in his health long-term?
Fair enough.
If you believe he made those signings to fix the team I have some bank stocks I can sell you.Lol exactly. People whining about overpaying, do we forget this team finished dead last in the NFL last year?
