If they can sign Dre'Mont Jones, they can address OT with pick # 9--Paris Johnson, for example. Otherwise they have two huge needs and their next pick is near the bottom of the second round.
They likely still have over $50mil in cap space.

True, but we weren't going to finish this rebuild in one season. There will still be some holes in this lineup. But we should compete for a wild card spot if done right.

Well this is how I feel about Orlando Brown Jr. so hold your horses. If they wind up signing Kaleb McGary or Jawaan Taylor for only slightly less than Mike McGlinchey I think it will be very fair to question what the thought process was. And if they fail to sign any of them then we have a major problem.
Or it means that the Bears are going Paris at 9 in the draft?

Which option is better?

1) Sign Roquan to a contract

2) Trade Roquan = end up with Edwards, Edmunds, DJ Moore, three 2nd rd picks and an additional 1st rd pick.
Lmao parkins claiming Rowena would’ve won the bears more games is so cringe

Lot of bed wetters on here...

Free agency just starting, still got weeks to go, draft to come, solid players will be offloaded post draft and available on good deals, trades available for the next few months, plenty of time and money to address other areas of weakness.

Young players, on good value contracts, at positions of need. Future draft picks secured.

Business this week has been fantastic - huge kudos to Poles.

I'm married into a Bills family, and here's my brother-in-law's subjective take on Tremaine Edmonds (brother-in-law is definitely not a meatball-fan):
"He will almost make spectacular plays half of the games, then get picked on like Paul Pozluzny the other half. Stout but not all pro. Just had the year of his life. Still only 24 so there could be more coming, but he was best when the Bills were ripping it up at the start of the year, then kind of disappeared."

Don't think so if reports Edmunds contract is frontloaded is true. They had 70m including Moore's contract. Would have to think the 3 signings today probably took them closer to 35-40m. Given this is the last year of the 2021-2023 minimum cash spend, they are better off front loading and saving some cap space next year.

First thing tomorrow Poles will sign Okereke to complete our LB group for the next few years.

To be fair, linebackers are a big part of this scheme. Hopefully they can still get a 3tech and this defense should be much improved in the run game.
