For me Haugh especially.

He's just really bad at this "team is rebuilding" thing.

I remember when the Cubs first got Theo, and they told every fan openly what they were going to do and then did it, Haugh was the first one in year one whining that the Cubs are a big market team and needed to spend like it, even though Theo told everyone they were going to suck for a while so they could get picks to restock the farm system.

Cubs won a World Series, a few years later, so Haugh really should shut the fuck up on any of his opinions on rebuilds.
Well, peeps here can bookmark it and throw it back at me someday, but Poles gives me Theo vibes.

  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Oklahoma Sooners
Pretty much the same as the Panthers trade just with Moore instead of one of the 1st round picks.
The Bears actually ended up with more by swapping DJ Moore with the 2025 first rd pick because a future 1st rd pick is downgraded

And a much lower second rounder.
Also very likely part of the Moore negotiation. Moore's value is a 1+. Panthers already turned down a one for him and wanted a 1 + 2. They settled for a 1 plus a 3 in terms of value. 1 plus the difference in #2 pick position. I'm personally very happy he got Moore under those contract and time terms.

So what’s left worth looking at:

CB - Rock Ya-Sin - He’s 26, played for Flus, and has decent size for a CB… Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a lot of production on the ball which this staff covets. The Bears need depth and his price might be reasonable now. He is tough and competitive.

G/C - Issac Seumalo - He has 60 NFL starts which includes 20 last season on the best line in football. He can play center too so he’d be a nice addition to this line considering he can line up at 3 spots. He’s 29, so he should have plenty of good football left. How much better is the line if the first three up at guard are Jenkins, Davis and Seumalo? Obviously, Cunningham knows everything about him, but I’m surprised he hasn’t been signed by someone at this point.

Edge - Leonard Floyd - He’s long, athletic, can set the edge, and had 9 sacks last year. Give him a reasonable two year deal. He would not be added as the answer but as an upgrade to what they currently have and depth. He had 9.5 sacks in 2021 and two more in the playoffs. He’s by far better than anyone on the current roster on the edge.

Can Floyd play 4-3 DE?
If I remember right, most thought that he would be a better fit as Sam, Will when he left.

Like the Seumalo reference. Don't really see Floyd for this team and think they'd prefer an edge bender more than the VG all around hybrid type player Floyd is. Wouldn't hate it but would rather look more forward there.

In theory, he could in a C2 but I'd prefer more of a specialist.

I hear you on Floyd but he’s longer than Yannick and can play the run. There are no edge benders out there. The idea is to fill a hole and upgrade in the draft.

Why I want the Bear to go DL in 1 this year. Murphy should be in range and a great fit.

I tried something a little different with this draft and came away struggling to find T late, but this D would be ?
