Honestly Chase Young shouldn’t have that much value. Lots of promise but not production (injury). I would not trade for him bc he’s not really a building block for a young team to count on imo.
I could definitely see the Bears having an interest in Chase Young. However, I don't see Washington selling low on him. They either go into the season with him and try to move him at the deadline, or they move him for a conditional 2024 pick based on performance. He just turned 24 and if he puts together a season as he did in his rookie year, he's worth a 1st round pick and the contract that goes along with it. He has more potential than any edge rusher in this class.

You literally just admitted you tagged me in a post that had nothing to do with me. What kinda cotton candy is giving you that sugar high?

@Anytime23 can you please provide me my clown nose. It’s been 2 years and I still haven’t received it.
Sorry but all noses and wigs are on backorder. You know... SO MANY CLOWNS IN THE CREW!

Someone posted a hypothetical trade with Young in it earlier. It was actually a very plausible scenario
Thanks, bro! I’ll repost it here. With the recent news that the Eagles maybe got Derrick Henry, we may be still able to get Bijan with a trade back. I may just drop my final mock as is. Either way, within the context of Chase Young possibly being available, I think this trade is a viable way for us to acquire him.

“Chicago Bears

The Bears added cornerback Kyler Gordon and safety Jaquan Brisker to their secondary in last year’s draft, but that unit could still use some work. Chicago gave up some of the most yards in zone coverage of any team in the league last year, yet they still ran with zone coverage far more often than not. The Bears should be looking to upgrade several aspects of their defense with this draft class, and adding Rush, a kind of zone specialist with excellent length and ball skills, would provide them with an upgrade for what they’re trying to do on defense.”

Lol yes he would have. The reason Houston is trading out if they do is because they wanted young. Arizona was already openly shopping their pick before the bears made the trade DBB is so full of shit

Yeah, I think you can argue the compensation package would have been different and he doesn't get a DJ Moore. But he would have had options to trade down.

Watson yes, Stroud factually failed the S2 . Not at all the same thing.

The founder of S2 said all the QBs did well and take what is reported with a grain of salt so not sure it is a fact he failed but just reported by Ginn. In any event there has been negative noise around Stroud beyond the S2 test.

You mean a team with an almost historically bad pass rush had terrible coverage grades? Interesting

“Final Verdict

As you can tell, Slater and Skoronski are remarkably similar as prospects. Both are stellar athletes with a requisite number of starts under their belt who were both scrutinized for their lack of length. Both ideally fit into a zone-scheme that takes advantage of their movement skills and gets them on the move in the run game. Slater and Skoronski are both deserving of early first-round picks and should be stalwarts for their teams’ offensive line for the next decade.

Ultimately, both prospects are fantastic, but if I were a GM (which I am not, unfortunately) and had to choose between the two, I would narrowly lean in the direction of Slater. The additional athleticism and slight advantage in the length department is the separator for me. That said, I would still be more than comfortable turning in a draft card with Skoronski’s name on it within the top dozen picks of the draft and feel adamant that he should start at left tackle, the more premium position, before being told he is a guard.”

The crazy thing is Slater’s arms are only 3/4 of an inch longer than Skoronski’s and he’s 6042 compared to Pete’s 6’ 4”.

Skoronski had 33 starts at LT and Slater had 37 college starts with 26 at RT and 11 at LT.

I’m preparing myself for Skoronski being the pick. We know the Bears have had a strong presence on game days in Evanston and Pat Fitzgerald seems like he and Poles have a great relationship. I’m starting to think it’s a strong possibility.

This is the RB I want to see the Bears add. How many times have Monty or Herbert been yanked down the last two years on runs that should have gone to the house?

This guy runs hard, has elite change of direction and start and stop, excellent balance, good hands, and he’s incredibly fast.

What will also help, will be adding his cousin, Pass Rush.
