It's not the same skill set though. Deebo can play wr well, they cannot. They can line up out there for screens and jet sweeps an a occasional fly route, but that's it. Basically like Aaron Jones lite or any other rb that splits out wide sometimes

Read my update. Deebo doesnt run a full route tree. 80% of his receptions are 10 yards or less. There isnt an elite WR close to that. He is just really exceptional at YAC. He has 1 catch greater than 20 yards and just 6 between 10-19 yards this year.

That depth of reception is actually closer to Patterson than it is to other elite WRs as Patterson is 87%.

Would be happy to look at any WR you think is close to that depth of target. Hell even tights end from Kelce to Kmet dont have 80% of receptions as 10 yards or less. Kmet is 65% and Kelce 69%. So no Deebo is not really a traditional WR.

I'd prefer payne and Carter. They'd wreck interiors. Then add ngakoue and omenihu.
If they sign Payne, then Will Anderson becomes the target if they stay put, but in the off-chance Anderson is off the board and Carter is still there? Would be a crazy interior DL

Payne, Dre'Mont Jones and Yannick. Anderson or Carter in the draft. Payne alone doesnt solve the interior alone. You could for example go Payne, Jones Carter at LE and the 2 DT spots with Yannick as the RE. Then rotate the 3 inside on pass downs and then have Gipson and Robinson play LE on pass downs.

If it is Anderson then challenge is where to put him and he and Yannick ate more REs. So may have to have Anderson at RE and a Gipson/Robinson at LE on run downs with Yannick playing LE on pass downs.

Think you cant read. I told you the proof.

I did not say each draft was a failure in and of itself. I said 7 largely failed drafts as if you look at all the picks across all the drafts his succcess rate in early rounds was trash and he didnt hit on enough picks. I already said his last two drafts were probably his best but too late.
So instead of simply agreeing that what you first said was wrong you ran from it. It's not a big deal to be wrong you know, everyone on here is at times.

Why are we so obsessed with Velus?

For fucks sake GM’s whiff on 3rd round picks all time

Personally much more interested in Gordon and Claypool working out.
I think the obsession is because literally everyone agreed Fields needed better receivers around him to succeed and some were already pissed Poles went D in the 2nd. So it just put a lot of pressure on that pick to be a home run, which it was not. It was more like nine out of ten Javi Baez plate appearances. Fortunately Fields just decided to go ahead and succeed anyway.

lol i never talked about every pick needing to be a stud or a pro bowler but keep in mind when you select these guys in the later rounds, the staff needs to be able to develop and improve their weak areas...all these pace picks played or had to play because he couldnt build the team with quality home grown talent and such has day 3 players being starters...you love you some vildor right? he has one more season before being a free agent, lets see how much the nfl loves them some vildor...

you say these were his best drafts, dont you find that sad? if these were his best than the others were really really bad...that itself should tell you the guy was over his head...he constantly had to pony up money in free agency to improve the roster...yes thanks goes to pace, for trading up for fields...shame the team was so devoid of quality homegrown talent coupled with a head coach that doesnt understand one simple word "adapt" that none of them got to reap the benefits...
You're drifting off on me again. My debate with remy that you involved yourself in was only....ONLY about if 7 of Pace's draft were largely failed. Remy says they were and i said they weren't so all this other stuff your bringing into it to start your own debate with me i don't care about. Pace failed and now is gone so i no longer care about Pace and now care about the new regime in place.

Vildor without a doubt will be on a active roster after next season whether that's with the Bears, which i think it will be as a 3rd CB, or with another team.

That’s ridiculous. It’s only a good draft pick for the Bears if they were good for the Bears. Not what they did on their next stop. That means nothing to the Bears success. This isn’t hard. A GM doesn’t make picks so that said pick can be better for the next team that signs them. This isn’t hard.
So AJ Brown, T.Hill, R.Smith, V.Miller, S.Gilmore and on and on and on weren't good draft picks. Now i got it. LOL

Is this your argument? Those guys were good for the team that drafted them. And then were shed in cost cutting moves. Are you seriously this fucking r**tarded? Please don’t answer that.
