I would rather the bears go Poncic/Jenkins in FA and then trade down and draft Paris Jones Jr.

PJJ-Jenkins-Poncic-Jenkins-Jones
That would be cool too. I just want them to - for the first time in many years -put a strong emphasis on adding talented ass-kickers to the OL.

I think that will help Fields immensely more than a “shifty wr with good hands” they could draft late 1st or 2nd.

Perfect FA pool would be: Payne, Jenkins, Pocic and Tremaine Edmunds
That would be incredibly awesome.

I hear E. Jenkins play has declined. Has he been playing more T and that’s the reason? If he has not been exceptionally good at G, that worries me.

I think he was coming off an ACL early in the year and got off to a rough start, but I've watched some Packer games recently and keyed in on him, and he looks really good out there. Rodgers has an eternity to throw, and their run game is always solid. He would be a great pick-up.

They have the resources to sign him. Also would be a bonus to get him from the Packers.

First off, you're wrong.

Secondly, what did they say that you disagree with so strongly?

They’re just rambling on about a bunch of big names that probably aren’t available. And are old.

DeAndre Hopkins? GTFO. Maybe go get Julio Jones too. ?‍♂️

And then whining about the Claypool trade. I can read CCS for that.

Or how low the second round pick is and the “type of prospect” you’ll get there. Never mind you can find good WR’s all throughout the draft.

I mean one guy when asked for a team with WR’s with lowest yards in the league answered the Chiefs. ?

It’s just a really dumb show.

I’d prefer to draft a LB in rd 2-4 as opposed to spending a lot of $$$ in FA. Urlacher and Morrow will only look better once the DL is improved. My “must have” targets would be Payne, Ngakoue, Poncic, Jenkins. Would be cool if they could sign Dre’Mont Jones and Jamel Dean too.

1. He’s coming off a torn ACL. (I think). Saw some Packers stuff saying he was rusty early.
2. It was at tackle and I think they moved him back to guard. (Which is where he made the PB)

Ah, got it. Would be a good signing. Also obviously has position versatility also.

Agreed, I forgot Ngakoue. I'd like Edmunds if we can get him for 12ish a season (still way less than Roquan) to pair with Sanborn, but if they used that money and shored up corner and added Jones with Payne, that would be even better.

Honestly these usually make for boring games. I know everyone loves the outdoor stadiums but I don’t like these type of games
they are fun when you have a kick ass defense, but otherwise... yeah

Your take here is terrible. It was a completely nuanced conversation that went over a ton of different options and potential possibilities based on things we've seen recently, like WRs on rookie deals getting dealt.

The only thing i can see someone getting upset about is the Claypool trade talk which right now looks objectively awful. I think Claypool has been here longer than it took you to jump ship on Fields, until you jumped back on.

The guy who named the Chiefs is their executive producer who just fucks around. He speaks like 1% of the time. You would know that if you actually listened to the show.

I'll text the show tmw and make sure they talk about signing Cooper Rush or Colt McCoy the next time Fields plays poorly. Thats smart football guy stuffz.

Personally I'd convince odell we will compete next year and sign him. Production has never really been an issue with him and he'll be 1.5 years removed from acl and likely able to do all offseason activities. He'd be worth the risk with all the money available and avoid trading anymore draft assets this year. Him not signing this season with anyone is a gift.

**** it, why not? The Bears always seem to try to play it safe. Why not make a risky signing for OBJ? We see other teams do shit like this and it works out. And if it doesn't, it won't cripple the Bears other than some money spent.

And LG. And depending on Jenkins injury, RG

So, an entire new line. lol

LOL. Why do you care? Like why are you defending a radio show? I don’t like it. I think it’s a stupid show and that’s why I don’t listen. If you like it then that’s great. Keep on enjoying it.

Hopkins might be a good bridge WR until Poles can get a young #1. Hopefully it just wouldn’t cost a lot since receivers start to break down around his age. But it probably would be for a 2nd, which is a hard pass.

I just can’t on board trading any picks unless it’s for a guy that’s a “long termer”.

Because calling them idiots and not knowledgeable is objectively incorrect and you should probably get more informed on them before insulting.

Its a worthy name to bring up. The guy missed a good chunk of the season and still might hit 1000 yards while playing on a dumpster fire team. But i agree, the price would likely be too high for the situation the Bears are currently in. Trading a top 35 pick for Claypool and a 3rd rounder for a guy who cant play WR(or football for that matter) doesn't leave them any room to **** up at WR moving forward.

What Parkins said is what I've kind of been thinking. You're at 2, if you decide to not go with the DT or DE everyone basically thinks they should take, use some of that kings ransom you'll get in a trade down and try to get Tee Higgins. You'll overpay for sure but you get a #1 that the draft doesn't guarantee and with the state the Bears are in, they should probably get that guarantee.
