An off-season that includes acquiring Tee Higgins is one I can get on board with. Sign Pollard and Payne and draft a couple O-Liners and we’re cooking with gas.

Has there been one credible source suggesting Tee is actually on the trade block?

No. Not at all. They would just simply move on from Mixon and cut an overpaid Boyd. Mixon is really nothing special and could be replaced easily. Boyd has been unspectacular once Chase was drafted.

I agree. I have been pretty pleasantly surprised with his play, especially for where he was drafted. But obviously there is room for improvement. You’re right-aside from drafting a T and him being a home run at LT, it will be hard to fill given the other needs. Hopefully Jones is that long term solution.

But they need to start pouring resources into the OL instead of patchworking it together. For example, drafting Skoronski after a trade down is great if the value is there, even if he replaces Whitehair and turns out a Zach Martin like career.

If Fields doesn’t have time to throw, doesn’t matter what WRs they bring in.

Jones-Skoronski-Pocic-Jenkins-Conklin.

They can actually turn around the OL relatively quickly with the resources they have and if they land a few key FAs.
Hear me out. I wouldn’t mind MiniMe Skoronski after a trade back. Sure, but I would put his ass at C. With everything he does, and his smarts, he’d have the upside of no other. Yeah, I know, a 1st rounder there, but man, the upside.

I spoke to some Bear fans in the preseason who legitimately thought this team would compete, so you never know.

I hear ya, there is always the allure of the unknown. But that shit was well and done 4 games in.

Love how at the beginning of the season Fields himself said stats don't matter only wins and now near season end all the Chicago media and fans can talk about are all the stats and records Fields can break.

What happened to caring about only wins?
First of all at the beginning of the season of course you want wins and wins will matter. Once you get to 3-11 and are eliminated of course they don’t matter as much.

Plus it was Fields quoted earlier and writers you reference now.

Wow.

If I were them, I'd simply extend Higgins and if they can't afford him and chase once chase extension comes up, then trade Higgins and likely still get a 1st

idk, I was under the impression that everyone understood the situation this team is in right now? And fans and media started focusing on the future a while ago?

I mean, are you just now realizing the bears have a shit roster?
I’m not sure he realizes it yet.

They’re just rambling on about a bunch of big names that probably aren’t available. And are old.

DeAndre Hopkins? GTFO. Maybe go get Julio Jones too. ?‍♂️

And then whining about the Claypool trade. I can read CCS for that.

Or how low the second round pick is and the “type of prospect” you’ll get there. Never mind you can find good WR’s all throughout the draft.

I mean one guy when asked for a team with WR’s with lowest yards in the league answered the Chiefs. ?

It’s just a really dumb show.
Hopkins is 31, not 41. Lower than a 2nd? That’s not bad.

You would take a man that experts are predicting to go top 10 as a tackle and put them at the center where he has not played? And what would be the benefit of this when we also need tackles and guards?

Has he played there? His technique and pure blocking ability is truly elite. G, C, whichever. The interior OL gets abused consistently, and if he puts in a 10 year pro bowl career at either spot, it’s a home run pick, regardless of it being in the 1st round. He’s one of the safest prospects in the draft, imo.

He likely asks for a new contract this offseason

Edit: Maybe he wants to be THE guy somewhere else

Apparently former Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman is on his deathbed. Not looking good, in hospice care currently.
