Is the salary cap a figment of my imagination? Green Bay has very little cap space and very few players that they can be further restructured to create more space. With $7M moving forward from this season they would have $10M in cap space not including E Jenkins contract. Unless they plan to be complete non-players in FA with a below .500 roster they are donezo.

The only thing Patrick and Jenkins have in common was the same team. Look at the contracts they just signed. One is elite. One is a scrub.

Pure speculation but I would have assumed Jenkins would have been one of the Bears top targets.
Like another Green Bay lineman who very quietly is having a great year at RT............Yosh Nijman.

Let’s say you land jones who do you shoot for in the draft(no trade downs) Carter or Anderson?
I haven’t watched any Broncos football all year but he called himself a 3 tech in the article I posted above. So I guess Anderson unless you want to double down at the position.

I wouldn't say fine since he's been missing some practices because of it. Packers gambled on David Bakhtiari who is always injured.

Exactly Bears offensive line has holes everywhere that why I told @Chicagosports89 we need to focus on RT and Center while we keep Whitehair for his last year.

This team can draft his replacement or get his replacement in FA 2024 just get a RT and a C.
You talking about practice? Not a game? Not a game? But Practice? He's missed 1 game since he's come back (2 months ago) and played every snap in the 12 games he's played this year. And he's been damn good. He's fine. Stop it.

Yeah I’m kind of confused what position he’s playing I haven’t watched much of the broncos they’re boring

Defending a Packer pretty hard all I'm saying is we don't know how bad his knee really is. Stop pretending like you know it's fine. I don't see why defensive on this.

Depends on the rest of free agency. I don’t really think Anderson is a great fit for this D. He also tends to get sacks as a free rusher(I’ve pretty much watched every Bama for the last 10years).

He’s listed at a 3-4 end. Think he was a 3 tech in college. I know his draft profile mentioned he’s a fit there. But yeah, I’m not up on my Broncos watching this year so just going on what I’ve read. But I’ve seen him called that several places now.

Poles, Cunningham and then the coaching staff on the O side of the ball are going to have to earn their keep this offseason. That's two top tier Olinemen brought back by their current teams.

Brady just didn’t like to throw deep when he was younger. But he did increase his arm strength over time to a decent level
It's more about zip than deep anyway. Mack actually has a nice deep ball if he can step into it. Deep outs, skinny posts, off platform? Not so much.

For college? Definitely. He throws rainbows that require his receiver to have a giant cushion on the corner because they tend to have to wait for the ball because he can’t get it there. Ask any Pats fan. It’s been fun reading their comments on him this year. Most of their fans have realized he isn’t the guy due to his limitations as a passer.

Dude. There's a thing called deductive reasoning.

Elgton Jenkins is playing football
Elgton Jenkins is playing football as well as he was before he was injured
Elgton Jenkins was just paid a near record contract from the team that he is current playing football for.

Based on those facts, you can deduce that his knee is fine, because the Packers would either:

A) not play him if his knee was not fine
B) he would not be playing well if his knee was not fine
C) he would not have been re-signed to a huge contract if his knee was not fine

It's not about pretending like I know shit, it's just about having common sense. It's still all a guess, but it's a damn well educated guess.

I'm sure we'll have surprise cuts and cap casualties before free agency but damn, everyone is getting locked down
Robert Schmitz tweeted today that the Bears have to meet the salary cap floor this off-season so Poles has to spend the money. Which means he will likely overpay on some middling free agents

Yeah it's not like NFL teams play guys even though they are injured they'll sit the guy down and say not this week. I've never seen an injured player on the field when he shouldn't have been.

I agree you're so right his injury has no bearing on his performance how silly of me to think that.

Yep not like other guys have gone on IR right after a big contract just doesn't happen ever in the NFL.

Rawdawg you're so smart.

So we've reached the point in this discussion where you just don't make any sense whatsoever and resort to sarcasm. Good talk.
