Can't think of one example to refute that. Brady comes to mind but while he wasn't a strong armed QB in college, he wasn't weak armed either and threw it harder than his build would have indicated.
Brady just didn’t like to throw deep when he was younger. But he did increase his arm strength over time to a decent level

Most social media comments in regards to Fields are insanely lazy narrative takes. “Runningback”, “No arm”, etc. You can tell they haven’t watched a Bears game the last 2 months and seen his progression, they just see the highlight runs and note his low passing yards. He has plenty of arm, but they fail to see the situation around him is a mess, something rational Bear fans knew coming into the season.

The other thing it ignores is that while the passing yards have been low, he has been very efficient with the passing that he does complete.
But what about his 3 step drops and dump off passes?

Is the salary cap a figment of my imagination? Green Bay has very little cap space and very few players that they can be further restructured to create more space. With $7M moving forward from this season they would have $10M in cap space not including E Jenkins contract. Unless they plan to be complete non-players in FA with a below .500 roster they are donezo.

I can see the runningback stuff. He's good for a highlight run play or 2 every game. It's wrong, but it's understandable. The arm stuff is insane to me. I know like 30 million people watched that damn throw to Olave vs. Clemson in the playoff semifinals. I don't know how you ever question the guy's arm who made that throw 65 yards in the air to a WR in stride.

It makes him the second highest paid guard in the NFL I'm not sure why'd they would pay that much for him maybe because he can swing to tackle as well?

We'll see how this moves turns out.
I would have paid him that much in free agency. Figured it would take over 14Mil AAV, was thinking closer to 16M than 17M or potentially 18.5M though, but the Bears have the money and the need, I would have gladly paid that for Jenkins. Who by the way, has not been at all bad as was said in this thread. He struggled early on at RT, but was still average. He's been great again back at LG.

Everyone needs to prepare for Payne getting re-signed too. If Packers can pull this off then Commanders can definitely take care of him.

They already have a DT on a 70 million dollar contract but they can cut Allen after this season.
