Anyone that thought this dummy was just going to come in and light it up outside of returns was fooling themselves. He's always been a slow learner with great physical gifts. Cutting him this year at a position of no depth that usually takes time to learn in the NFL anyway would be a premature ejection.

You can viably keep him just for KO returns this year. That said, brane-iac needs to learn how to field a punt in the off season. If he succeeds, he's a 4th WR, gadget, ST player and that's more than fine for where he was drafted. If he fails, he'll be like 3/4 of 3rd round WRs.

Hoping they put him on the practice squad next year and some other team is dumb enough to poach him. Either that or he catches on and becomes NFL ready before he qualifies for Medicare.

What is it with coaching staffs and the Bears still not at least just playing to a players strengths from the get go and then develop the rest as they move forward.
