My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
So we've reached the point in this discussion where you just don't make any sense whatsoever and resort to sarcasm. Good talk.

You're not being logical.

He’s listed at a 3-4 end. Think he was a 3 tech in college. I know his draft profile mentioned he’s a fit there. But yeah, I’m not up on my Broncos watching this year so just going on what I’ve read. But I’ve seen him called that several places now.
I've watched him for a few stretches this year. He plays all over the interior but he is best as a one gapper getting up field. Has a few disruptive plays every game, but also gets washed out quite a bit. He's really small for an interior player but explosive off the ball and pretty quick. Seems stiff to me, or else I think they'd play him more on the edge. He's build like a base end, probably 6'3 275.

Is the salary cap a figment of my imagination? Green Bay has very little cap space and very few players that they can be further restructured to create more space. With $7M moving forward from this season they would have $10M in cap space not including E Jenkins contract. Unless they plan to be complete non-players in FA with a below .500 roster they are donezo.

If that’s really the case… then front load the guys the Bears CAN sign to hit the minimum, and save room for next year.

I’m curious to see what Knet and JJ sign for. I’m assuming they’re going to get extensions.
I think this really pushes the trade down route. Teams are locking up their studs and even some duds so the few quality players that hit fa will go to more stable franchises. Get a boat load of picks and develop some guys.

Also @bamainatlanta last week had a few good suggestions with trade downs to not only look to get picks in with it but maybe a player need like with panthers they have a few good dline can get with a pick swap

I hope Kmet isn’t much. Don’t pay for TE’s unless they are elite. And the league only has 1 elite TE in Kelce. Buffalo, Cleveland gave out awful deals for Knox & Njoku. Austin Hooper got a mega deal a few years ago and was a complete bust.

Robert Schmitz tweeted today that the Bears have to meet the salary cap floor this off-season so Poles has to spend the money. Which means he will likely overpay on some middling free agents
It’s unfortunately a weak FA class this year. He’s going to need to spend, but hopefully he can keep most of the contracts to 1-2 years of GTD commitments.

I don’t think it does that so much as it should kill the “Bears are competing next year” narrative.

The true “blue chip” talent is almost always drafted. Poles is going to have to nail a few drafts here to get this team good.

They’ll sign some guys. The team will be better for it. But the real work as we all know is in the draft.

Im a Kmet fan but that shouldn’t be a big contract. Please God no. I would say that I would rip my dick off but I ripped that off a long time ago.

Did you not read my sarcastic post calling him illogical? I'm pretty sure I did.
I quoted it. There was no indication it was sarcastic.

You're pretty sure you did what? Read your own post? If so, well done.
