Honest question

Who can point to a recent or current NFL coach that was significantly or meaningfully more successful their second time around compared to their first when they got shit canned?
There are a few outliers, but most are terrible in their 2nd go round too.

Have the Bears set up an interview for DeMeco Ryans? I could see him having success if he brings in the right offensive staff.

Never said prior experience only matters so stop pulling conclusions out of YOUR ass.

And no it's not the only criteria for success but it sure helps when you're not "football guys" as an owner and team President.
The problem is, when a guy has experience and is available, that means he was fired. Fans don’t want someone who isn’t successful, right?

or he’s a guy who stepped down/retired. But fans don’t want a guy who’s “out of touch”, right?

Does it? I would think what helps is for the candidate to be good. Doesnt matter whether they are a first time or not unless you have data that shows previous experience increases chances for success.
