Our blocking schemes were pathetic all season. That's on coaching though. If the protection isn't designed to give help to our tackles then Daniels can't wing it because that'll have a domino effect on the rest of the protection.

Don't think they were suggesting Desai being hoisted on anyone. Just that he seems to be well regarded.
If it is Harbaugh then if he doesn't get Fangio, Desai would be a good gall back option as Desai is close with Fangio. Fangio wanted him to come to Denver with him but the Bears refused. So there is a scenario where Fangio gives Desai a recommendation for Harbaugh or Fangio and Desai both join the staff.

I feel like both he and Pederson may be avoided based on their similar philosophies as Nagy coming from the Andy Reid tree.
I have no reason for saying this other than NFL teams overcompensating in the opposite direction after a failed regime.
