This team is just as bad as the last two seasons. That’s not a bad thing necessarily because they still need another top 3 pick to keep adding to the cupboard. Hopefully KD doesn’t make the same mistake as last season and holds onto expiring UFAs like Foligno and Dickinson when they should have been traded.

They've taken their rightful spot at the bottom of the central.....and should stay there all season as other than Nashville they're light years behind the others and prob only better than San Jose in the conf (and maybe eventually anaheim/la/Calgary)

With the draft lottery is there a limit to hitting top five picks like baseball?

I think you can only win the lottery 2x in a 5 year window, IIRC. That doesn’t mean # 1 pick but moving up from your draft slot. If you finish with worst record and still end up with #1 overall all that doesn’t count. Hawks could only win lottery 1 more time at present until 2028 due to getting Bedard.
