Nice way to finish the road trip. Soderblom only has 2 games this year though.
He has been surprisingly good, so time to rotate Mazzy normally and see what he can do.

Mazrek being the most used goalie in NHL with injury prone past doesn't seem smart or necessary if Soda is balling.

If Soder Popinski keeps this up he might become an NHL goalie. The feel last night for me was like comparing 2012 Crawford to last year's Soder vs 2013 Crawford to this year's Soder. Night and Day. Granted, Crawford was on a much higher echelon.

Soder has actually started three games....two good, one not so good.

I may be wrong, but I recall that the bad Soder game this year was a bad team game. Not that it matters much since a bad game by him is a bad game by him, but it wasn't like the rest of the team was putting in an effort and he was leaking like a sieve. I think everyone from LR on down failed miserably.

So that being said, until proven otherwise I'm taking the bloody ray of fucking sunshine route and treating it like an outlier, until proven otherwise. Same with most other players with the exception of Brodie, who has looked like lukewarm anal seepage no matter if the team is winning or losing. Almost everyone else has shown moments of brilliance interspersed with lackadaisical play when the coaching doesn't do their job.

My bad, I don't know where I saw only two... he has had three.

1 good, 1 bad, one neutral. 4 points in 3 games.

Hyperbole alert.

Wouldn't know as the old Tribune paywall sees to that. I do know that he's projected to score 50 at his current pace. I doubt we'll see anything close to that from a 30 pt a year guy at 28. But it would nice if he kept it up for a bit longer plus he could be a nice piece of deadline trade bait if he did. Always good to keep the turnstyles rolling with young talent. Speaking of young talent....looking forward to seeing what Arty, Oliver and Sacha bring to the table. This team could really use a finisher. I mean the improved passing and puck movement has been getting them some chances but when a guy like Donato is your leading goal scorer....there's a problem.

First game I’ve watched this season. Are they still in tank mode?

20 minutes of hockey. and 40 minutes of coasting.

On the positive Soder has looked a lot better this year, but I'm hoping LR and his crew's time grows shorter. The 'hawks are better than their on-ice efforts.

I like that he's active and involved... but Bedard needs to score goals. The teams needs more goals. I'm glad he's facilitating... but score some fucking goals. Donato got hot and everyone was like... ohhh we're saved... no.. .He'll probably still end the year with 20-25...

Thought Soder looked pretty good considering the lack of effort around him. I think at one point in the second it was 23 to 5 SOG.

Man when Bedard had that breakaway and turned his head to see the defender I was like that's it, it's not happening. Wish he just went full speed ahead.
