Make this your first stop:

Ask to speak to Hank. He'll make you feel like a valued customer (unless you ask for charcoal).

Yeah, I'll prob just go to Home Depot, Walmart or where ever it looks like the best deals are at. I dont want nothing fancy. I'll also be keeping a close eye on craigslist

Disregard Gaelic's post.

Real grilling is not done on gas.

I've never owned my own grill but I've never been a fan of gas grilling when using others. It's easier but I'd prefer taste over convienence. Plus id probably blow myself up with a gas grill.

My family and friends got my wife and I a double sided grill for a wedding gift. I've never used the gas side. Never even hooked it up.

**** grilling on gas.

Do you need a special grill to smoke meats?

Just get a Brinkman Smoker.

Use it to smoke and grill.

Easy solution.

Sportsman Charcoal Smoker & Grill (815-3060-C) | Brinkmann

If you do get this...buy a temperature gauge for a gas grill that shows actual #'s for the degree, drill a small hole in the lid of the smoker and pop it through there.(The back side of these usually screw in with a wingnut)

Helps to see actual temp rather than Cool-Ideal-Hot like the Brinkman has.
