Hhm negs me in a friggin thread about a mans child who passed.

Just wow

Was that thread sacred? No disliking in a child passing thread?

Maybe we should put up signs or something.

Good to find out without anything bad happening....

I am extremely happy. Plus she hates peanuts so we just need to find out to what degree to we have to keep it out of the house and if we need a syringe for emergencies.

One of my daughters has a peanut allergy. You should ALWAYS carry an "Epipen" just in case something happens. Better to be safe than sorry. And now whenever you eat out, you have to be sure to tell the server about your daughter's allergy because you never know what ingredients they put in the food.

Out of curiosity, how does she know she hates peanuts if she has such a severe allergy to them?

Because brett kept forcing her to try them and she hated them because of the allergy

So somewhere around 3 she tries some and doesn't like them. But her older sister does. so every six to twelve months she tries them. Hates them every time. Even the smell.

SO my oldest gets sick and hits the school nurses office. Somewhere in the conversation she mentions her sister not liking peanuts and that her tongue gets itchy. The nurse has no peanut allergy on file and calls us immediately. We say, she doesn't have an allergy, just doesn't like them but wants to like them.

That night at the dinner table the itchy tongue comes out which neither my wife or I knew about it. So as my young one is sick we assk for a peanut allergy test. Bingo, highest allergic reaction on the scale.

Praise God she never got severely ill.

EDIT: We just found out and my baby is 8.5 years old. Some parents.

Indeed, that could've been much worse. Glad it wasn't.

Itchy tongue is a dead giveaway. I have a nut allergy and when I was young I'd get that itchy tongue all the time. My parents told me it was probably the salt. :obama:

Wasn't until I was a teenager and had a horrible reaction (swelling, throat closing) that my parents finally realized what the hell was going on.

All that said, coulda been worse Brett. Be glad it wasn't.

Definitely invest in some epipens. (Multiple)

It's cream cheese or velvetta with me. Weird thing is it didn't start until I was in my 40s. Face blows up and throat closes. Good times.

I think I'm developing a seafood allergy. I love seafood, so this sucks. It doesn't happen all the time, but occasionally I start itching all over and my insides tighten up a little after eating seafood.
