you wouldn't trade Cashner for a guy that could build a winning team? COME ONN MAN
:cmonman:

Who's going to pitch for the Cubs if they trade away a cheap option.

If the Cubs could get Lackey in return for a player, I'd be fine with that...

No, I wouldn't.

Friedman is supposedly only willing to go to Houston or stay in Tampa Bay, since his dad is in a potential new ownership group there and he is from there, but I'll take Hahn or Cherington for free before I give up an MLB player for an admittedly overrated GM.

Giving them Cashner would take away one of the bright spots from the current farm system. Ricketts has placed an emphasis on wanting to build and develop the farm, not trade away the good guys we do have. Cashner is the future if he stays healthy.

The major league team, not even just the farm.

I think all this talk of what players BOS would get for Theo is a joke. If BOS gets anything it will be low class minor leaguers as Waldo said

The guy won two world series in Boston. If you don't want a guy that flipped the curse in Boston and since when did he become overrated? I dont think he has ever had a losing team in his tenure at boston GM

PLEASE take Berg and Schlitter! Who were just re-added to Triple A after clearing waivers. I said to just cut ties with them, Berg will prolly miss all of '12 too, what a waste.

Curses aren't real.

He hasn't had losing seasons because he's had a $160M+ payroll year in and year out.

I wouldnt give a MLB player for GM. Marmol stock down right now. He could easly bounce back next year

I honestly think he's peaked already. I'd be surprised to see him do much better next year. Hope he can turn it around, but I'm not going to be too optimistic about it right now. But that's another discussion. :)

Or the $$$ did.

And all of his recent FA signings have been busts, like Hendry.

The one thing I love about Theo, he will go out and trade a player that will help. Not going all the way and back out, like JH. But FA were a lot like Hendry.
