My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Cue angry Cub fans :tiptoe:

I hold the belief that the Ricketts will get who they want one way or another.

I don't know what to think, all reports say different. Some say yes to Theo in Chicago and some say no to Theo is Chicago. The final word is what will be taken.

The story is:

"We don't know WTF is going on, so let's make some shit up until they prove we're wrong"

When Owners didnt say they DID NOT give permission to Cubs about Theo, i got sense Cubs have a shot. If Cubs give him president job its more likely to happen.

One thing that could factor into silence right now is that Theo Epstein is Jewish. Tomorrow is one the holiest days on the Jewish calendar. Therefore, there is a chance the Red Sox will keep quiet until sunday or more likely, monday. out of respect they may not want to give him distractions on the big holiday. But if he was just staying in Boston, there would be no distractions....right?

It is funny how people act like they know what is going to happen with this situation.

I was refering to the people making definitive statements about the situation in this thread. If you were not saying that this or that will or won't happening, then you are not whom I am referring to at this time.

If you want my honest GUESS right now.

He's coming. It probably won't be announced till the start of the week.

Considering reports of Ricketts and a few other of our execs going to Boston the other day. I wouldn't doubt they got the answer they wanted.

The Red Sox would not have granted us anything if they wanted him and he wanted to stay. Plus there is NO REASON to have any sort of a presser if he is staying. That is something a short press release can confirm without having a interview for the media.

Will he be GM or President? No idea. I can see it going either way at this point.

If he comes to Cubs he will be President. BOS owners made point today they would not stop Theo from getting promotion! I do see them blocking Cubs if it was for only GM spot, which if that was case they would have made it clear Theo staying, in which they didnt

I can see it being for GM and President. That's a very good possibility.

Can we really call the Central bad with both Milwaukee and St. Louis in it?

Who called it bad? I just said that it is no AL East.
NESN sucks.

Jon Heyman was the one who reported it, NESN linked it in their article.

Whether or not Theo stays or goes is irrelevant, they want the most publicity out of it that they can possibly get, so it's better to drag it out

It is funny how people act like they know what is going to happen with this situation.

You're a ruhtard if you think he's coming here because I said so!
