I don't want Magic Johnson in the front office anyways.

I'd rather have Freddie Mercury.

There is a more-than-zero chance the Red Sox say "nay" and hold Theo's contract hostage for a year until it expires but I don't find that very likely at all and if anything, MLB will probably tell the Red Sox to go **** themselves.

MLB won't let them keep Theo.

They will force fair comp if it gets to that point... Which it won't.

Haha Boston is imploding. I've got the popcorn ready watching their train wreck.

That would look really shitty in Boston and make their organization look bad if you bring him back after letting him leave JMO.

I don't blame them for not letting other personal guys leave that really is the hold up IMO.

Damn. :(

we have all the leverage just wait a year tell Boston to **** off. They cant bring Theo back at this point they have to let him go if the compensation is unfair I hope Ricketts say "sorry boston was unreasonable and we will wait until next year to bring Theo in without trading away our farm system"

Then Theo will be the GM next year and all is good. Theo cant go back to BOS as GM that ship has sailed.

surely not. if Jackson is what Theo costs us, it's just Rickett's way of saying "whatever, get this deal done..."

No players should be involved, imo. Hope Selig steps in and puts a stop to this shit.

But he owns the brewers, he's probably down w/ the Cubs losing a top 'spect.
