idk why people make a big deal about this getting done BEFORE the world series...the cubs cant do anything (player movement wise) during the world series anyway

im sure the cubs and theo know who they want in FA/trades (if they go this route) that if the GM isn't in place at 12:01 am after the world series it wont be a huge deal

They just want to know it's done, so all the speculation and rumors are gone. That's my guess.

well maybe it's my own opinion, but idk if it's technically done, and my opinion is that they have their plan in place for FA/trades and that that will be executed whether Theo has been 'formally introduced' or not...thats just my opinion...i may be way wrong but idk

Who knows. At this point, your guess is as good as mine. We'll just have to be patient for the next week or so.

I guess so...im just anxious for the offseason to start so we can see what direction Theo/Ricketts wants to take the team...build through minors or spend spend spend and contend now

Epstein as President and Hoyer as GM/McLeod as(?) would be a great move. Epstein could potentially bring some of his guys from Boston over and make them Asst. GM's as well.

True, but he will be limited. Right now it's only 1 personel, but he's trying to get 3 and there's a good chance. But we never know, like the period on this.

I'm really hoping this gets done soon, I'm so excited for this off-season as I know my self has said many times and other users have as well. But this waiting game and Boston being so utterly butt-hurt it's disgusting and as far as Peter Gammons goes, I used to have a lot of respect for him, but after his homerism and absolutely disgusting demands of what Boston wants I think he's was once great but just needs to stay home and change his diaper every few hours, he's really hurting what was once his great image, o well lets get this show on the road, and get Theo here and have my offseason predictions come through....
