Handful? The entire bleacher section and half the stadium was chanting "asshole" at the guy, he was getting death threats and they had to hold a spectacle where they blew up the baseball. LOL at "handful" of Cubs fans when referring to the fans who were pissed at Bartman.

Serious question: How old are you? If you were over the age of 15 at the time of the Bartman incident I don't think there is anyway you can say it was only a "handful of fans".

Boston fans> Cubs fans.

:smug:

LOL at a douchebag like you defending Boston fans. Oh wait, it's because you are one of those douchebags.

LOL at you ignoring the main part of the post about you being wrong on your assertion of "handful" of fans.

Are Cubs fans like you so delusional that you actually don't remember the Bartman incident the way it happened?
No, you have an inferiority complex and have to believe that you know everything when you clearly don't.

Nice. I suppose that's why you've ignored every point I've made in this thread smacking down your idea that "Boston sucked until Theo took over", "only a "handful" if fans went after Bartman, and your logic surrounding the Cubs having a "better history than the Red Sox"?

I avoid egotistical Boston fans. They like to keep their heads so far up their ass that they know what they had for lunch the day before.

No use arguing with a douchebag. :dealwithit:

Nice try backing out and realizing you've been outclassed and have been illogical and/or flat out making shit up.

I remember the botched double play much more vividly at the time of the game than the Bartman ball.

It's only after the fallout because of idiot fans that I remembered the Bartman ball much more than the botched double play.

Individual people are smart. It's when they're in mob situations like in Game 6 of 2003 that they get ridiculously stupid. I felt really bad for the guy then as I do now.

You can't really quantify stupidity though. Stupidity is more of an either/or thing...no matter the extent of it, you're still stupid.

Thank you. I've been saying that for years now, and I still believe that Alex Gonzalez is one of the luckiest people of all time that his error isn't remembered as the reason the Cubs didn't make it to the World Series that year.

If he needs the title to come here, I am going to guess he stays in Boston. However, if he is truly in charge of everything baseball and reports directly to the owner that might be enough for him to consider leaving. It will be interesting to see, and if Ricketts and Epstein agree what will Boston want in return for him?

There are reports of him not wanting to take a promotion to Pres in Boston.

Jeremy Spector Supposedly Cubs brass w/o Crane Kenney are on a private jet en route to Boston. Pissed. Missed a great chance to knock that doofus overboard

So were they granted permission?

Crane Kenney has been the odd man out for a little while now. The reason? The Cubs are going to offer the presidency to Epstein. The fact that Kenney isn't going to Boston is even more evidence of that.

As a Sox fan, I applaud the Cubs for what they're trying to do. It looks like they might finally be headed in the right direction. It's good for baseball and the city of Chicago if they are indeed going for the jugular here.

Yeah I'd take on the contract if it means we don't give up Jax, Garza.. etc..
