I don’t know enough about the guy to predict how he will do. But I do know it’s foolish to jump all over the GM just for that sake of doing it.
Several analysts immediately liked the move, but we gwt quotes from an “analyst” ( who in God’s name actually believes walter football is that?) who criticizes.

It's an overpay but this guy is a good player. I've watched him a bunch, since his days on Cleveland. Cleveland used him is a weird way, had him playing Nose a lot when he is clearly a three. Cincinnati deployed him as a more traditional 3T and he did well, despite splitting time with BJ Hill who also improved last yeay.
He's similar to Nichols but I'd say pretty clearly better. As mentioned, a lot more $ than I thought he would get but just in terms of the player he is a great fit.

There are not many good DTs in FA this year, plus the cap is going up again, unlike last year.
This is also les than Goldman got a few years ago, for example, and this guy is probably as good overall as Goldman.
