It’s weird to me that current betting odds are
-950 Hunter is 2
-600 Abdul is 3
-950 Campbell is 4

Not sure if I’m missing it, but 4 doesn’t seem like it can be more confident than 3. If Abdul doesn’t go 3, then he’s for sure going 4… so can’t be -950 on Campbell. Seems off.
I think those are the odds of Carter going exactly three. Campbell going four assumes Carter went two or three.

If that was the issue, then Hunter wouldn’t be such a lock to go 2, according to the odds.

No shyte Sherlock. Congratulations on remembering that fact from @bamainatlanta who has hammered it home to everyone on this board over the past year. Remarkably that fuckup didn't keep them from winning one of two Super Bowl appearances.
So did Jalen Hurts lead them to a SB victory or nah? You still gonna double down on that?

I mean if I only watched the SB I night believe that. But if I watched the rest of the season I'd know he stabilized the OL when they moved him to LT
What if you relied on stats vs your eyes watching some plays?

He rated poorly at T.

That's fine. We obviously disagree on his value at LT for KC. The LT spot was a black hole and he helped stabilize it for them in season and was part of a functional offense that helped them make the SB and beat a very good Buffalo team en route.

Obviously ideally he would've been elite at LG with a different LT playing well. But he was important for their success at LT.

I am very happy to have him and am not trying to be critical of him. I was responding more to the notion the Bears would view him as LT which I can’t imagine.

Even as we listen to different analysts or pundits, guessing as to whether the Bears will draft a left tackle, at no time do any of them suggest Thuney would be playing left tackle. I think it’s a given that he’s a plug-n play at left guard.

Nope. That is exactly what those bets mean, namely pick which guy who goes at that specific draft position (4 or 2, or whatever…).

The betting lines are just a product of how people are betting. So, the betting public sentiment currently is that the 2nd pick is highly likely to be Hunter. You may not agree with that sentiment, but that’s what the betting public thinks at the moment…
