Campbell and Banks are expected to play tackle. Even those acknowledging that there's a chance they may need to move inside are very high on their future there, and Campbell has even been mentioned as a possibility at Center.
"Risky" is the last word I would use to describe them as prospects.
If you mean simply that it's a "risk" that the Bears would have terrific depth and flexibility, then I suppose that's true.
Using #10 on a guy who would be a backup immediately or would definitely only be IOL is one thing. But they both are likely to stick at T, and IOL would not be a bad thing and that's worst case scenario.

Yea we’ll see. If I’m Poles though, I couldn’t live with some random clip of “we were prepared to take Tet at 5, but got an offer to move down and still got our guy”. Maybe if I’m getting a QB, LT, or Edge, but not for a RB. That kills my resume.

You're painting a very rosy picture. Campbell has been consistently labeled as lacking the arm length needed to play LT. Banks has been consistently viewed as having poor balance and athleticism as well as lacking awareness in pass protection. Banks is clearly listed as an OG by Dane Brugler and others.
Risky is gambling a high draft pick on a prospect that may need to be shifted to a new position and hoping he will perform well there.

Yea, I got you. I just mean I’d live with them taking Jeanty vs paying a premium to move up. There’s enough reason for me to call the bluff. If it’s not a bluff, I’m sure good decisions with the picks the Bears have will still outweigh what the Jags wanted. I can live with losing him.

We all know about Campbell's arm length.
In spite of that, several people have him Top 10 and many of those Top 5. So if the arms are an issue, the general consensus is he's a strong G or C candidate.
I am not advocating for using #10 on him, nor am I ripping my dick if the Bears do. But when I say not risky I mean, you take a swing for a T with a safety net of having him inside, vs some guys who simply don't live up to their draft status.
Draft a T at #10, and you take some degree of risk that he just doesn't end u being very good at all. But in Campbell's case, people seem to believe strongly his floor is a top IOL.
"Bansk has been consistently viewed as..."? Really? The views of Banks are anything but consistent. Some mock him in the 20's while others have him as the top tackle.

I don't think it's hard to envision the rapist falling out of Round 1. No team had him in for a visit. In a draft deep with D linemen, his past may turn a lot of GMs off - or at least convince them not to use a 1st round pick.
I don't know what to think of Nolen except that it seems CCS is higher on him than everyone else is.
Pearce? I have seen him outside the first as often as not.
Well....we soon shall see. That's the fun part.
