And top 30 visits end up getting drafted especially with their higher selections…

Warren is doing a private workout for the Bears.
I didn’t watch much college football this last season. What is so special about Warren? He could very well be legit but one solid year of college play scares me a bit. But again I am the wrong person to be judging.

The barron visit is interesting. Wouldn't expect that and wouldn't be thrilled if they took him over will Johnson if going db (wouldn't really like db in general)

was at pro Day and will/should be ready for camp.
  • T Josh Simmons (PFF Big Board Rank: 18)
    • Height: 6-foot-5
    • Weight: 312 pounds
    • Hand: 10 3/8 inches
    • Arm: 34 1/8 inches
    • Wingspan: 81 1/4 inches
    • Bench: 34 reps
He's got all the numbers/measurements you want for a LT but that injury is a hard one to come back being yourself again.

I can't remember, will the Bears gets an extra and early veteran minicamp this year due to having a new coach? Didn't that use to be a thing? I vaguely recall those could happen before the draft even. If that is the case, it would be good for the coaches to get whatever eyes than can on their current trenches in figuring out those priorities between OL and DL.

yup, fixed that post. projected as full go by camp.
Don’t know if I trust that. Could be agent speak. That’s supposed to be a long recovery injury I heard. But that’s a doctor question so who knows what’s actually accurate

I wouldn’t hate it, but I like Simmons a lot too. I doubt he slips out of the first though.
You might hate if you try to find a single person who recovered from a torn patella to become a great player.

I wouldn’t draft him because he’s a one year, super senior wonder.

However, he does bring real skill to the table. He’s a tough dude that definitely can block. He can run it out of the Wildcat, he can throw it, and he has excellent hands but he doesn’t separate well. I thought the PSU guys in general were a rugged bunch that was held back by an awful QB.

I’m not going to be upset if they do draft him but OT or Edge is really what should be happening. A pivot should be to CB, not TE.

A coach like Johnson probably gets a lot out of a prospect like Warren.

Don't know about at #10 but gotta think they take one with the first few picks. If they don't and they are worried about Braxton then they could always turn to free agency and sign someone like Tyron Smith or DJ Humphries. That's if either of them would sign for what could end up being a backup role.
The tackles blow after round 1 this year. But you can definitely get good RB’s and DL rounds 2 and 3. Maybe even later

Yeah i remember seeing something like this and think you're right that teams with new head coaches get to do something with their players a little earlier than other teams.

From our view the tackles have question marks after round 1 but there's always multiple players who end up good/great players that nobody predicted to be true. We found a starting LT in Braxton in the 5th round. Is he a top LT in the NFL? No, but you damn sure can get by with him and win with him if the team around him is good enough.

Guys like Wyatt Milum, A.Ersery, Jonah Savaiinaea, J.Conerly, M.Mbow could all end up really good players. I actually really really like Savaiinaea.

Mike Tice comes out about how much he likes Conerly and since that i've seen Conerly rising on everyone on CCS's board.

Agree about RB's and DL after round 1 though.

A few of those guys are guards

I swear I have yet to see someone say something good about Ersery. The guy is always the one people dog on. Haven’t even bothered to watch because if that

Yea, he seems redundant to Gordon, so I wouldn't get the move. I'd prefer a true CB if going that route... which is Johnson.
