Hope you are right. Monangai is not a normal 7th rounder, leading the Big Ten in rushing in 2023 and second last year I believe. I would describe him as a short, compact, very quick running back. What he lacks is top end speed.

His ball security is another major plus.

This year’s RB class was absolutely stacked. In a normal year, I don’t think there is any chance he’s a 7th rounder.

In another draft year, I agree he probably does not last to the 7th but I still think his size and overall speed would limit him to a day 3 pick.

I agree. Just being the back-to-back rushing leader in the Big Ten, should have led to a 4th or 5th round grade.

We all know he hasn’t practiced since the 11th and they said he has a soft tissue injury.

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make.

You said you played football at some level. Did you ever injure a hamstring or pull a groin muscle?

It takes a little time to let the injury heal.

Cartilage is considered soft tissue. In the ribs that can be more painful than a crack and would be smart not to aggravate. No inside info but it's one of the things that fits.

He impresses me more and more every time i hear him speak. Hopefully his on field work impresses me just as much. It's to bad we don't have any great DE's for him to go against in camp to really show us what he can do. He won't even get much work against Sweat much because Sweat does most of his rushing on the other side.

I think it's notable that they had Kiran A at RT and Ozzie at LT in the "rookie" OTAs.

They’re going to have at least one joint practice with both the Dolphins and Bills. He’ll get some different looks from them.

Also, I’m sure he’ll get a crack at Sweat too.

Then you will see him plenty in the preseason games.

Yeah i thought about the joint practices but i'm just saying if we had at least one great DE it would be a hell of a lot more helpful for him. Also think the coaches will probably make sure they rush Sweat from his side more to make sure they see what he can do against a talent like Sweat.

I thought Burden was the most dynamic receiver after the catch in this class. Pairing him with Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson and the explosive pass-catchers (including top pick Colston Loveland) already on this roster will immediately boost an offense that ranked 28th in the league a year ago in points scored.

Detroit Lions: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State (No. 28 overall)​

Both from a positional and personality perspective, Williams was one of my favorite picks of the 2025 draft. He plays with an infectious energy perfectly suited to Dan Campbell and the Motor City, and he gives the club time to allow fellow defensive tackle Alim McNeill to recover from last season’s Week 15 ACL tear.

Green Bay Packers: Anthony Belton, OL, NC State (No. 54 overall)​

Things certainly could be golden in Green Bay with first-rounder Matthew Golden, but at least during his rookie season, I see the wideout playing more of a complementary than starring role. That could also be the case with Belton, but I like the insurance policy he provides at left tackle (or left guard) for a team that too often has had postseason dreams ruined by midseason injuries up front.

Minnesota Vikings: Donovan Jackson, OG, Ohio State (No. 24 overall)​

Like with the aforementioned Dolphins, I see the Vikings’ most significant contribution as a rookie coming from their first-round pick. I like Jackson, viewing him as one of the few true plug-and-play guards of this class, and I’m excited to see how he and the rest of Minnesota’s rebuilt interior fare in protecting young quarterback J.J. McCarthy.”

Couldn’t be more accurate… great offensive coach, upgraded line… and maybe no team in the league would be an easier path to playing time. I don’t hate Swift or anything, but I imagine he’s likely gone next year and, if not, definitely gone the year after.
