This is a pointless argument because you are clearly ignoring sample size and picking at most a 100 ABs of a guys career to determine how they perform in pressure situations. There is no point in continuing this because you ignore all evidence that is contrary.

Same with CO... he does too but doesn't get called out for it...

Back to :troll:ing now.

You said it, Dews.... mail bag SHIT. I've come to realize over the past 5 years... Muskat has no clue what she's talking about... and she never takes on a question in the mail bag she can't spin. Those articles aren't even worth ignoring... nonetheless reading. If I could burn a webpage... I'd use it to light my grill here in an hour.

I'm not ignoring anything. Just pointing out that when the games matter the most(PLAYOFFS), he is a non-factor.

Even Muskat is smart enough to know the following.
I know fans want the Cubs to get into the bidding for Fielder and Pujols, who will both be free agents, but that's not likely to happen. You're right -- the focus for the Cubs for 2012 will be to improve their pitching.

Or does that make the rest of us who agree with her despite all odds dumb?

Really though, can't this argument wait until the off-season when a clearer picture is closer to being in sight?

Now I know why I don't post in the Cubs forum. Too many know-it-alls.

****, can't this shit wait until the off-season?

Just because you can't make a quality post, doesn't mean that the rest of us can't. We're actually having a nice discussion about this.

What did he do in the playoffs?

That's right. 2-23 in 6 games over the span of 2007-2008.

:lmao:

Oh that's right, 23 ABs is such a great sample to go off of. Silly me. 6 games. Wowzers. No one has ever had a bad 6 games before.

Alex Rodriguez and David Wright say hi.

Cool. Never said they weren't better. Just said Ramirez was a top 3B. Which he was/is.

To save the Cubs $16M they don't have

Who ever said anything about bringing him back for 16 million??

Let's look at 07-08, when the Cubs needed Rammy the most. .080 batting average. Cubs lose 6 games. Those are the best 2 stats I need to prove Ramirez isn't clutch.

Sample size. 6 game is quite possibly the worst sample size ever.

2-23 in the playoffs. Chew on that, you little shit.

Sample size.

No. This is a baseball forum with men. We will talk about now, then, and about a million times in between. If you have a problem with that, I suggest you get a new hobby.

haha! so predictable. Oh and its not 2007 and 2008 anymore, just a news flash. seems like you are still stuck in that year. Just a reminder that next season will be 2012....just an FYI. I guess having the same guys 5 years later means they are going to be the same. Might as well bring back ryne and dawson for kicks because they had good years too.

sample size FTW! run along with the rest of the sheep.

I am capable of quality posts, but I don't see how this discussion will end with anyone being persuaded one way or another, so it seems a little useless to me... it'll end up being the same stuff repeated hundreds of times without any consensus being reached.

And honestly, how much do you think Ramirez wants?

Sample size is more important than playoffs. :lmao: :lmao:

Playoffs are much much much more important than "sample size."

You are better than that CO.
