The Angels? I don't think they'd spend that freely :lol:
I meant... I could see the Rangers coming in and signing Fielder with no one knowing. Like what the Angels did with Pujols.

Maybe the Cubs are talking about Rizzo and letting it leak out in the news... to try and lower the princ for Fielder. The M's and Cubs seem like real threats, with the Rangers in it. I could see a Angel snatch for the Rangers.
I am guessing that the Rangers are off of the Prince Fielder list so the market shrinks again. Maybe Theo is playing this thing the right way.
had I answered in this thread even 72 hours ago, I would've said yes, but now I keep flip-flopping and I'm leaning towards no at the moment. I hate having a tight lipped, close to the vest FO lol
The market is shrinking as more than likely the Bears are falling out of the race.
Cubs
Mariners
Jays [Maybe]

those are teams that are in the media as suitors. There are a lot of teams in the MLB that could jump in at the last moment just like the angels with pujols.
Especially if they can't even beat the Seahawks.
Mariners: Are not going to win anytime soon because of the teams in their division and they are on the other side of the world from where he lives and not a baseball rich market in terms of extra marketing money.
Jays: Are never going to win, and I am Canadian, because of the division that they play in. I do not see the Rogers company giving a 5-6 year deal just after buying the team.
Cubs: Have the management team to be very good in a couple of years, they are close to where he lives ad has played and they offer the most in terms of extra marketing money.
@Buster_ESPN
Buster Olney The Cubs have done some background work on Prince Fielder, and they would like him--but only on their terms, not close to a 10-year deal.
