So you didn't expect Poles to sign any of the big names. That means that you expected Poles to sign some of the non-big names which is exactly what he did.

The Bears currently have 16 OL players on the team, 5 rookies and 6 new free agents and 5 returning players. Please name three players that are better than Reiff, Schofield and Louis Patrick who should have been the Bears choices to sign.

Moreover; the Bears DID go after the top offensive line prospect but his demands were just too high. They also went after other free agent linemen but their contracts were matched.

Seeing that you did not expect the Bears to go after any of the top tier free agents, it should be near impossible for the offseason to be underwhelming in your eyes because they did bring in 6 offensive line free agents and three of them were more than mere camp bodies.

I believe that you wanted the Bears to land 2 or 3 top offensive line free agents and are underwhelmed with what they ended up getting, not 2 or 3 top offensive line free agents. The problem is that you created an unreasonable goal to match and are upset that the Bears did not reach that unreasonable goal.

The Bears did well with what they had in cap space at the time of the start of free agency and improved a lot right before the start of training camp.

Think you are actually confused. If we had signed 2 big name FAs he would complain about that too. This all comes down to Pace being fired. He will be critical of Poles until Bears are successful and he has no choice but to give Poles credit.

So there will always be something for him to nitpick probably until we win a playoff game as otherwise he will just say Pace made the playoffs too.

Never understood the Biggs hate here. Yes he's big and can be a prick(apparently in person), but he's good at his job
Biggs spent a long time as the laziest writer in sports.

Maybe it's different now, but there was a stretch where he wasn't even going to pressers. Just kept doing his mailbag bullshit like 3 times a week

A whole lot of assumptions thrown around in this post but everyone has their own opinion.

I didn't know the Bears went after T.Armstead.

He was protecting himself since he didn't get an extension. Guy's got chops but played soft to protect himself and be healthy in FA. I expect a great season in LA.
That's sure what it seemed like

Then answer this short question from him...
I can find multiple posts of me talking about bad moves Pace made whether it was in the draft, free agency or maybe even a trade, but i'm not sure if i ever talked about a whole offseason of his that was bad.

I definitely won't go do the homework to go back and find any of them because i don't care enough, but if you would like to i can promise you that there will be many times of me talking about bad moves Pace made.

Anything else?????

Yeah not sure why i would be critical of his first big signing being a complete bust or him losing money in the N.Foles fiasco or what is it now 3 or 4 of his free agent signings being arrested or him not signing any real offensive weapons for our 2nd year QB or giving him and legit OL help in the draft or free agency until signing two average, past their prime OL. I actually love that he finally signed a couple of guys whether they're past their prime or not because they're both better than every other OL we have which obviously isn't saying much.

Mother Fucking truth really hurts some on CCS. LOL

I'm a Bears fan way before i'm a fan of who the GM is so as i've already said i'll give Poles his dues when he earns them which i'm hoping will be next offseason. I'm happy to see that some of you think the OL is fixed and that he hasn't taken a chance at hurting our 2nd years QB's growth with this offense he's assembled.

I am just assuming that was a 7 on 7, and no safeties were on the field. Quite possible Fields was actually practicing a back shoulder throw, in which case, Mooney should have held on to the ball.
I say this in all sincerity to both you and @remydat:

Who gives a ****?

People who say he took his rebuilding of the OL seriously. If he took it seriously then he had the resources to fix it in free agency and the draft. IMO
So which OL would you have taken in 2 to fix T? We than can see of he's better than Jones in 2 years. 3 FA starters and one with a highest offer that got unexpectedly matched is not enough?

As for Jenkins. While motivation is a long standing known for him, we really don't know if that's the main problem right now. If so, let's hope this staff knows what's doing and addresses it effectively. I suspect whatever is going on isn't just about a time out. We can also forget about trading him for any reasonable value after his back surgery and motivation rumors. Would be lucky to get a 4th for 1st round talent at this point.

Yeah he cost the team $4 mil by not cutting him sooner than he did.
The Nick Foles fiasco with Poles, the guy who inherited him lmaooooo you cant make this up. Please make yourself look more dumb and then blame the rest of the board for bullying and stalking. Holy ****, i have truly never seen such mental illness before.

I have been a big a critic as most, on Poles FA and his neglect of the OL, but these last two recent signings have changed my opinion on that considerably. I think it changes his entire offseason grade from a massive fail to a "C" grade. I still think he got to cute trying to pry away that OL from Buffalo, when another mil or so would have sealed the deal, but it is what it is.

Better later than never.
