**** K-Rod. He bitched and moaned about being the SU man in Milwaukee about a month after he came to the Brewers. Said after the season he wouldn't be back. So the Brewers offer him arbitration because there was like a 0.01111% chance he would be back. Guess what he does? Decides to accecpt, although Boras said they are still deciding and it's a "fluid process"
Rosenthal must've deleted his tweet. It was about 2 hours ago when he posted it.
While I don't doubt that the report could be false, I love when people make blanket statements about what Theo will or won't do at this point.
Ohh.. yeah he would of had too. Can't find it anywhere. Maybe it wasn't true then.
With how close to the vest the Cubs have played this offseason I was shocked to read such a definitive statement about the Cubs offer.
Future Ken Rosenthal tweet, "my account probably was/might have been hacked"

Rangers Cubs talking Garza trade
Ozzie Guillen said he has a bet with a friend – he wouldn’t say who or for how much – that Carlos Zambrano will win more than 14 games for the Cubs in 2012.
Guillen and Zambrano regularly send each other text messages and have plans to meet up soon. They’ve shot commercials together. There’s the sense that these two friends from Venezuela could be reunited as Miami Marlins.
“He wants to be in Chicago,” Guillen said Wednesday while walking through the lobby of the Hilton Anatole. “Now if they trade him, well, I’d take it.”
People close to Zambrano have suggested that he could really use a fresh start in a new city. In theory, he would be motivated to prove all the doubters wrong. He will turn 31 next season and could be had at a discount.
The Marlins manager predicted that Zambrano will bounce back for the Cubs in 2012 and floated the idea that “they’re going to handle him a little bit better” with Theo Epstein in charge.
“This kid’s got a lot left,” Guillen said. “(If) he wins some games the fans are going to forget (about it). That’s the way it is in Chicago. He plays good, he’ll be fine. People love him in Chicago. You watch. People are just mad at him because of what he did. But you win a couple games and you put the fans back in your pocket.”
