Rangers and cubs conversations on Matt Garza for top prospects. No match yet

The price better be damn high considering the price that free agent starting pitchers are making this offseason and the relatively cost controlled Garza.

Marlins Build a new stadium and spend like the yankees...WTF

Their new stadium is the smallest in the whole league....where the **** will all this money come from

Their taking a gamble as they hope to sell out and lots of ticket. Hoping for 2.8 million fans at the least.

Yeah, they're going to pay. They will because they lost out on re-sigming Wilson and signing Buehrle. Let's see where this goes.

Angels making a strong push for Albert. Seem like a big threat now.

Fielder is actually starting to look somewhat possible. At least more than I had hoped at this point in the offseason. I am so glad that we get Thed Hoystein running the show now, but man does it piss me off that everything is cloak and dagger (yes I know that is the best thing for the Cubs and ultimately I am okay with this but it is just frustrating reading that the Cubs made an offer or are interested and then read another source that says the exact opposite).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs are the mystery team throwing a wrench into otherwise smooth negotiations

It'd be pretty amusing if the media broke the story that the Cubs had signed Pujols or Fielder in about 10 minutes.

Rockies GM said Ian Stewart prolly staying put; however, ESPNChicago reports the Cubs are working on a package for Ian Stewart. The Cubs would send Tyler Colvin and DJ LeMahieu to the Rockies. Ian Stewart and more will come to the Cubs.

MILW playing it right in the way they're negotiating with Fielder, but Cubs could grab this thing by the throat with Ryan Howard-type offer.
