Didnt they already announce that when they stuck with Mitch, who is currently sitting on his couch waiting for the phone to ring?

yes

Foles didn't care if Nagy wanted to run his plays in the red zone and he was bad....

If you are showing up your coach at least be good

This is what happens when you only draft 1 QB in four years (or however many years). We don't even have a drafted 'project' QB. lmao
No picks left over for it. Unless you're unhappy with Ryan Pace's drafts over the last two years?

You want to know how fucked up the Bears are? Dalton has thrown for 4000 yards twice, something no Bears QB has ever done, and he's thrown for more than 30 touchdowns, something no Bears QB has ever done. And he has a season with a 100+ QB rating with more than 250 attempts. Something no Bears QB has ever done.

Jesus Christ is that depressing.

Unbelievable. Having read that makes me warm a bit to Dalton but still would be an underwhelming signing after all the Wilson and Watson hype.

This is a gut punch but shouldn't be shocking to anyone given the ineptitude of this FO. Shame on me for expecting better

What's the gut punch?

Remember when all the Carson Wentz rumors heated up and it turned out the Bears had zero interest and Pace never called them. Calm down lol

It's the social media age, any Chad or Karen can start posting stuff. Like I can get on my twitter and link the Bears to another scrub and it'll probably make its way here, hah

It feels like such a "Bears Move" but in reality, the truth might be that Watson and Wilson were never really in play and while the Bears can throw the whole franchise at those teams, they don't have to do anything. As a result, you get stuck going with the best player available via Free Agency which is the underwhelming Andy Dalton. I can't imagine that Pace and Nagy will feel good with a QB room of Foles, Nagy and maybe a QB they draft but this is the bed they have made for themselves and they are stuck lying in it. Pace's entire GM career was likely won or lost in the 2017 draft where he missed so badly on the QB position and then depleted resources to be able to fix it for the next 4 years hoping it would play out. Riding a Foles/Dalton QB carousel on his way out of town seems almost fitting for a man who refused to get this position right.

The only way this makes sense to me is that they sign Dalton and then trade Foles while continuing to pursue Wilson/Watson and/or a move up the draft for another qb.

I guess but why? If Foles can get a decent pick it makes sense but I highly doubt it.

This will not happen unless Foles is traded and Dalton comes in as a cheaper back up
Only way I'm cool with it. But the Bears thing to do would be to start him and call the QB situation solved.
