Sure he does. He is a lot like Horace Grant in that regard. Both were/are warriors. Both were/are good rebounders. Both had a decent jump shot. When you think about it, if they had not traded for Gasol and instead by some means got a good SF/SG and moved Gibson into being a starting PF, this team would not as unbalanced as it is right now.

I am also not knocking Gasol at all. Just that the Bulls team changed in therms of its defense and the tempo of the offense. Think about it. The entire team slowed down because Gasol was not athletic enough to run the floor with the rest of them.

Horace Grant is a decent comparison to Taj....but I think Horace had the edge and was a little more polished. Either way, in today's NBA, Taj would be a bottom third of the league starter at PF. He's a fringe starter if anything. I wouldn't say he "deserves" to start. He could start, but he's really just a bench player, IMO.

I think the point about Taj, at least as I would see it, that the pairing of Gasol/Niko is not as good as what we have now. A Noah/Taj starting front line is just as awful. Gasol/Taj - Noah/Niko is much better.

Also, Horace would be a monster in today''s game, but I say that as a guy whose favorite player growing up was Horace Grant so I'm not the best person to give that opinion. But I will anyways.

Get and or Anthony Davis. I have followed Hoiberg for years.. Get this guy some players and he will be just fine! This roster is terrible and no fun to watch. That isn't the coaches fault.

Good lord :smh:

We're in 3rd fucking place in the East! Jesus people, must every damn season be the same "blow it up" threads after the Bulls don't have a 24-0 start like the Warriors!? And it's a wonder I rarely ever post here anymore.

We're 1.5 games behind the Cavs for best in the East. That's not a misprint. 1.5 games. Players are still learning the system, Hoiberg hasn't even had a full healthy roster yet to set his rotations and roles, yet somehow the team has won nearly 62% of their games played thus far. I admit it hasn't been pretty but for the love of God can we give all the "blow it up" talk a rest for now?

The regular season doesn't mean anything. It's all about what this team does in the playoffs and we won't get far.

We don't even know who our top 7-8 are going to be in the playoffs yet and you already gave up.

This is why I've really lost interest in this board. It's quickly becoming nothing but a ***** fest for whiny fans, with occasionally some funny posts along the way.

Now I'm not deluding myself into thinking this team is the favorite to win in it all but we are a top 6 team in the league right now based on win percentage. This doom and gloom tanking talk is wildly off base and endlessly annoying.

So I take it you don't like my Rose for Eddie Curry straight up idea?

Well if you're suggesting a trade, you should go with full GUSto like suggesting a "Rose for the undiscovered corpse of Bison Dele" trade

can you in all honestly watch this team and tell me they have a chance at winning a NBA championship? our record is not indicative of what we are as a team. the fact we even have a winning record is a mystery to me.

this team has no identity, doesn't mesh well and this was the story last year aswell...valid reasons to ***** and whine and give up hope early in the season

also don't bring up that this team was a rebound away from being up 3-1 on Cleveland with out bringing up the fact that both Love and Kyrie were injured and LeBron had an off series shooting the ball

we essentially got ousted by Matthew Dellavdova and JR Smith not only that but they GAVE UP in game 6...yet im supposed to root for these guys and stay optimistic...pah-lease...these guys suck

Lol I don't need to know rankings. It's quite simple. We're not a championship team. It's not about giving up. It's looking objectively at the team and realizing we don't have enough.

One last thing to add:

3.5 games separate 1-10 in the East. All 10 teams are over .500. There are only 6 teams over .500 in the West. The East is no longer the Leastern Conference. It is chock full of talented teams and it is likely going to be a dog fight all season for playoff contention.

Everything is not all negatives all the time is my point. But hey since you already stated you think these guys suck and are basically worthless, then seriously, why waste the time watching the games?

I mean, I'm not giving up on them or stopping watching them because I fucking love the game of basketball. Even when it seems unenjoyable, I can still find fun in watching. You guys were all on here about how shitty Thibs was last year and how Hoiberg would be the savior and I repeatedly stated that this would be a process that required some patience. Now after 21 games and we aren't leading the league in anything, it's "OMG WE'RE TURRIBLE!!! BLOW IT UP!!!" Instant gratification or Bust these days, I see.

But hey, who gives a **** about the regular season, right? That's been the mantra on this board for quite some time, so why so upset? Maybe Hoiberg is just holding back, saving some tricks up his sleeve to surprise teams come playoff time. Or maybe he in fact is the worst coach to ever coach a professional sport & we should make Brian Scalabrene head coach. I don't know. It could go either way at this point.

It's just funny people think we can win a championship with rose playing the worst basketball of his life. Noah is no longer a DPOY candidate. Our best player is jimmy. Can jimmy be the best player on a championship team? No. Maybe if we had 3 or 4 other players who were on his level. The window shut on this team a while ago. I'm not complaining about it but I'm certainly not going to be blindly on denial about it. If your expectations are that of a championship, you're going to be let down. If you're expectations are that of an early playoff exit, this is your team.

I mean listen, I understand completely what you're saying, and I'll go toe to toe with anyone over my own meatballishness on the Chicago Bulls. I just at this point trust Kirk Hinrich to run Hoiberg's offense better than Rose, and that doesn't inspire confidence going forward.
