That is the desired result.

No shit, but it isn't going to happen. People are fooling themselves if they think a sign would've prevented an attack. They just want to relieve themselves of personal responsibility.

How in the **** do you know? You sure are fucking judgemental about a family that you do not know. Common sense would say that any rational person who sees a sign which warns them of dangerous animals in the area would not put their family in harms way. But you somehow feel bound to condemn this family as being responsible for their child's death.

I really do not get people like you making judgements like this. Shame on you.

Hawks you would be very surprised at the number of people that ignore the warning alligators signs in Florida. I've seen people feed, and splash in water where a warning gator sign is posted.

Probably all Disney's fault.

If I could assess the blame. I would do 0 percent Gator 1 percent Disney, 99 percent the parents for the epic fail of letting your kid play in a lagoon at night in Florida, when there is a pool right there. Throw in the fact another dumbass parent took a pic of their kid in that same lagoon. It's quite shocking this is the only time a gator has attacked.

The kid in the picture must have known MMA.

Also, everyone knows that no swimming signs means it's okay to splash, float, and wade in the water.

I got three words that would stop me from entering any body of water with a no swimming sign.
Leeches on ballsack.

I believe that. In my one experience with a gator at Hilton Head, I sure was impressed with them!

In Nam we tried like hell not to stay in the water too long because they had critters who would swim up your pecker hole and getting them out was really painful.

Were there signs around the bodies of water that warned you of the critters?

Yeah, but this is 'Murica... and if this goes to court, I'd be willing to bet that Disney is going to be held 99% accountable because they had the most control over preventing something like this from happening.

It probably won't though. Disney will close the beach that should never have been there in the first place, put up the fucking fences and alligator signs and hand the parents their hollow bag of money.

Well generally speaking, the same people that ignore "no swimming" signs are the same people that are likely to avoid "beware of gator" signs. In both instances, the issue is this sense that someone is just being overly cautious to cover their ass and that there isn't anything actually any serious threat.

I would have to disagree with the bold. The people that had the most control to prevent something like this from happening are the parents that ignored the no swimming sign and allowed their kid to splash about in the water at night with apparently no adult in close enough proximity to prevent tragedy.

That was pretty much a baby gator. Adults have too much weight to climb with their little alligator arms and legs.

Whatever you say Crocodile Dundee.

Sure there were. "Gooks Around" was a well done warning sign.
