Long hots are key.

I'd also make sure to keep the pork closer to 180 than 195 or it's going to fall apart rather than slice imo. 195 is for pulled pork or carnitas.
203 for pulled pork

CCS still thinks passing yards are the end all be all?

The only thing that matters playing QB in the nfl is getting first downs and scoring points.
I mean, he’s not very good at those either 🤷‍♂️

It's sad that that's the default on message boards.

A good rule of thumb is to treat people the same on message boards as you would in-person. I guarantee you if most CCS'ers were talking Bears with a dude at the end of the bar and he said something they disagreed with, they wouldn't immediately launch into insults against the guy.
Ummmm 🤨

I actually said that it's an anomaly, and that it can work if the QB has great talent everywhere else on the field, like Philadelphia.

But that usually great passing QBs win lots of game and super bowls, and ones that aren't great passers don't do as well.

This isn't really that difficult.
Pretty sure the Chargers have about 15-16 or so 4,000 yard passing seasons since 1980 and not one damn Lombardi to show for it.

The point? That good passing teams are less likely to be good than teams that don't pass well?

I don't agree with that. I would rather have a good passing QB, all other things being equal.

I don’t get it. He’s a very poor fit for McVay’s scheme. He doesn’t exactly throw with anticipation or any sort of timing.
Kaloby was saying "a better situation and more money" yesterday - which would make sense if it turns out LAR is interested.

I bet - those things can be taught. Darnold was hot trash earlier in his career and he clearly had a monster season because of the coaching and situation. Elite physical traits + elite coaching and a halfway decent starting point fully makes sense.

I just dont see it in LAR for him. I get your point but he's best in Philly as a backup or in Indy to compete with the trash bin known as AR15.

As much as I respect McVay, I just dont think there is anyway he can fix Justin's lack of anticipatory skills in a timing based offense.

It’s cause it’s not true. Fields is not a good fit with the Rams.

It's bait - but in honesty, the tweet is correct, it's just oddly worded. On Bovada his second best odds if he leaves Pittsburgh (so they take the Steelers out of it) are the Rams at +700 after the Jets at +320.

Breer says that the Rams are looking to get a QB that more so matches the age of their core, Fields does fit that. Stafford was allowed to talk to teams about a trade during the Super Bowl week and after fielding offers felt vindicated in thinking he was worth $50M. So if Stafford wants $50M and the Rams think it's time to move on from him - Fields makes sense because he's going to be cheap, he matches the age of the core and his physical traits are second to none.

The Kaboly wording was strange - if he thought he were going to the Jets he would never say "a better situation". Without question the Rams are the best situation possible for any QB on the market.

After someone pointed out that Jalen Hurts doesn’t average a lot of passing yards, another poster literally said that formula doesn’t work in the NFL, while completely ignoring that Jalen Hurts just won the Superbowl MVP award as he beat the back to back champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Can’t make this stuff up. 😆
I think the formula is “if you have a defense that does not allow Patrick Mahomes across midfield in his first nine drives, you can win with any quarterback“

Yep, it’s bait. Longshot that really depends upon what McVey wants to do and what he thinks he can unlock. People/coaches often evolve, particularly young(er) ones. And the league has proven itself to be a copycat league — with teams often modeling themselves after current Super Bowl winners. Maybe McVey thinks he can unlock Fields in the passing game and turn him into a JHurts with a Ferrari engine.

Also, lest we forget, at one point in the not too distant past, Fields was viewed as a pass first QB coming into the league — and showed elite promise in that area UNTIL being drafted by the worse team in the NFL for developing QB’s. Turning a guy like that around can be a tantalizing prospect for someone like McVey who has a fairly massive ego and wants to leave a legacy as a genius.

It’s certainly possible and stranger things have happened. But if I had to guess, I would say he still lands in NY with the Jets.

Yup, you're right. Definite misread on my part.

I just don't see the fit or McVay wanting to run more than he throws, especially without the Eagles OL. He didn't bring in Stafford for his legs. He brought him in because he wanted a more dynamic passer than an already proficient Goff.

How many teams win a SB without having to blitz at least once while facing a top 3 all time QB?

28 pages on Justin.

Good luck to him and all, but surprised he still generates the level of interest he does on here.
