Just saying because I believe thechosenone lives in Greece. They likely don't follow the NBA like we do, so maybe the Lakers aren't as known to them.

Well he believes Ryan Anderson is worth a trade for John Wall, Steve Nash, Tyreke Evans, Steph Curry, or Jeremy Lin and also that Odom is a pathetic player and will be released by the Clippers next year so...:dunno:

Do you live in Greece?

Of course anyone in the world who is watching basketball knows the Lakers!

The thing is that there are teams known even by people who don't watch basketball or Baseball. Just like the Yankees and the Bulls. Nobody in Europe watches baseball. But Yankees is a team everybody knows. You may talk with a guy who doesn't even know what NBA is. He will know the Bulls for sure.

Do you meet people who don't even know what basketball is?

Plenty. Chinese people are pretty big on basketball though, so I suppose the ratio of those who don't know to those that do know in my case is a bit skewed towards those that do know. Regardless I have a lot of American friends that have heard of the Lakers but don't know who Derrick Rose is...and these are people who live in the Chicagoland area.

Strictly speaking on China, people I've met there know the Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, and probably the Heat and OKC now (I haven't been there in over 6 years). Back then they all liked guys like Kobe, Lebron, etc...the obvious ones. They also really liked Allen Iverson and TMac back then too. Pretty much the trend that I saw was, if the team had a star player on it, they knew the team existed. Kobe's been in the league since 96 and thus everyone knew the Lakers.

But will it blend? That, is the question everyone wants know.

Man, NBA 2K13 is gonna be a blast. Steve Nash/KB24 on one team? I'm gonna demolish my friend online. Close my games with Nash and with those sexy KB pull-up stepbacks!

I'll never be able to play an online game again (because I suck)...

Now there's gonna be Miami, Brooklyn, and the Lakers for everyone to :troll: with.

I wish the Bulls were like the Yankees. At least we could realistically say we could be chasing after *insert star players' name here* instead of Kirk Hinrich and Willie Green.

You can't just chase...the Bulls are not the Yankees...only one player of star status said they would never play for the Yankees...Ken Griffey Jr. At least that is the only one I know.

The Celtics and the Lakers are in a league of their own as far as history and consistency. The Bulls are amongst the elite because of Jordan, but nobody is in a hurry to put the uniform on.

As far as regurgitating the 1990's as some kind of reasoning for the Bulls not making a splash in free agency...what lazy analysis.

No point in playing Xbox Live for new 2K when D Rose won't be available the majority of the season.

Well obviously the Bulls are not the Yankees. The point was we'd have a realistic chance of getting some player because we wouldn't be hindered by going over the luxury tax. That barrier is essentially a hard cap for the Bulls because Reinsdorf has said that he'll only go over for a team that can win the championship. Frankly, I don't think this team is on that level, and I don't think he does as well.

As for no one wanting to play for the Bulls...I wish I knew why...

I hear you bro.
The #1 and only reason the Bulls are known around the world even by people who don't even understand what basketball is because of 1 man......MICHAEL JORDAN.

People who live in caves know who Michael Jordan is. Even the deaf, dumb and blind.

Kind of like the Michael Jackson effect

Lakers are going for it all, but are screwing themselves long term w/ all the picks they're giving up. But watching Nash in LA should be fun.

Russel Westbrook is going to abuse him when they meet though.

I'm an avid Bulls fan so I won't be able to play as the Heat. I will use Brooklyn and Lakers though :D

Tip if you use Derrick Rose in 2K11-12, when you shoot with him, hold the button down for 0.5 seconds. That is the secret. He releases quick.

I play with Rose all the time. His shot release timing actually differs based on what kind of shot you take. His pull up jumper takes a lot longer than his catch and shoot form for whatever reason.

The thing is the timing in online is all messed up from the offline so I always get the release wrong anyway. :turrible:

Russel Westbrook will get his points on Nash. YES.
But would that be more like Russell Westbrook abusing his own team?
If he takes JR Smith type shots all game long like he did in the finals, he would dig the thunder in a hole against the Lakers-Nash....

In a way, the Thunder would of been better off with Nash instead of Westbrook in the 2012 finals....

I play with 90s Pippen all the time.
He's always on my Bulls team.
If Derrick Rose gets injured on my xbox bulls team, I can always move Pippen to pointguard
Cool story, ain't it bruh? :troll:

I believe that the point is that when there is a possibility of having 4 superstar teams in the league and the Bulls best player is seriously injured, as the most known/most profitable/with the biggest fanbase team in the world YOU MUST spend more money to follow the trend. The heat the last 2 years wasn't even a profitable team.

As for the reason why players doesn't want to play for Chicago? It's the same reason why the Bulls are the most famous team in the world. Michael Jordan. They fear even the idea of being compared to him.
